I have ordered the halo stage three kit to replace my AS 2.3” level that I have had on my truck since day one. I am curious what settings y’all are running for street use. I understand that terrain is different depending on location so that would be unique to each area.

Anyone else have the stage 3?
Got an email today from Elka offering to replace mine due to false advertising with something. Said they would replace them but not I am not fond of paying install

I have them. The truck is sitting on the lift at work having the front struts installed today. I’m curious about the false advertising. I did notice however that they do have the 700 lbs springs on them and only 10 clicks of adjustment. I am wondering if this is what they are referring to?

Something to do with ride height not high enough. Maybe your set with 700lb is the fix??
I think they said my set was 650 when I ordered in the spring

Maybe I will find out tomorrow. I had factory struts with an AS 2” leveling kit on it. I am hoping the height will be the same or slightly higher. I don’t mind if I need to install a slightly larger rear block.

I just received the email you had spoke of this morning. Hopefully they will finish my truck today and I will let you know. if it is level or not. I will try to post the email this evening when I get home if anyone is interested.

What settings are you running on your stage 3 for the street? Just curious

Coilovers install was completed yesterday. 3/4" difference from front to rear. I am going to let these settle over the next month and see where it measures out. I was hoping for a difference of 1.5' so i may reduce the preload one turn and install the raptor rear block.

What is the rear block size from the raptor? Part Number? Is it a direct replacement for the Tremor Block?

tapered rear block 2.25-2.5 and it is a direct replacement pt#HL3V5A799FB These are for a gen one raptor since the gen 2&3 have coil sprung rear ends.

I’m pretty sure the raptor blocks are tapered from 2 3/4 to 2 5/8.

You may be correct on this i know it would net 1/2 inch increase i think our blocks are 2-2.25 tapered. Thank you for the correction
So here is the deal, at least what I was told this morning by Eve and Kevin. There are two different type of shocks for this Stage 3. One that goes from 0-2" (which you probably have) that is based off stock shock dimensions and one that goes from 2-3" that I'm guessing is an "extended" length (Kind of what Icon calls some of their systems). Supposedly, when Elka was designing these they were measuring off a truck that already had a spacer lift on it, NOT a stock truck. So they undervalued the lift. I was going to install mine this weekend, but i was going to have them set to 1.5" of lift which meant driving up there today to have them change it as I assumed they were set at 2-2.5" of lift. Which...for the shocks I have would work at 1.5". But, that would also mean more preload and THE most lift I would get is 2". So if the collar is all the way up to the top cap that is 0 lift. With the OTHER ones Elka is to swap out, those START at 2" of lift with the collar all the way up. Which also means, no preload. And I, or whoever, could "level" there truck. The shocks that were sent out to customers already will not level the truck. Most they can go is 2".

I get some of the other trucks that had these early on were modified, but this seems weird this wasn't caught earlier. I'm lucky that I haven't put mine on yet. Those who have and paid for labor and alignment MIGHT be SOL. I don't know. But sounds like Elka is going to swap out all those shocks. It's still VERY early for me and I'm going to swap mine out and go with a 2" lift instead. My rears are installed and already love them. But guess it'll be November till I get mine in since my truck goes into the body shop next Thursday for 3 weeks, no thanks to Ford...and me hitting trees. Ooops!

But the email from Jerome Castilloux at Elka says they'll swap them out, but no labor included. So, sucks for a lot of people.

Thank you for the info. Mine came correct the preload is set with 8 threads showing so there is not much preload set on these the way they came. I will say that these springs are stiff. When I get the torque checked on everything at the end of next week I will measure what the droop is compared to the vehicle sitting under its own weight. I thought that they were changing the spring rate on these but I have confirmed the 700lbs spring rate.

Mine are set at about 6 threads showing. I had asked for mine to be set at 1.5". So how much lift are you getting with 8 threads? Once I hear back from Elka, I'll want to confirm that they are the 650lb spring rates for these "extended" 2-3" shocks. I don't want 700lb springs in the front and I'm thinking these early sets were also sent with 700lb springs. How did you confirm the spring rate?

I am not sure on the actual lift because I had a set of AS 2-2.3 pucks on before the swap I cant remember which one. That gave me 1.75" rake and now i have .5" rake so I would say that it is close to the 3" mark. If the pt# on the spring ends in 400 then you have the 700lbs springs.

I did speak with Eve today and she did inform me that there are several sets of these kits that went out to tremor owners that were short and not providing the stated ride height as @GHawk16 stated in this thread. Fortunately I did get luck and just need to dial out the preset preload by 2 full turns and it should put me at a solid 2.5" instead of the 3" that I am currently at. Eve also told me there will still be some preload on these spring which is reassuring in case of a top out event. Sometimes I wish I still had my tools from when I was a tech so I could tinker with this until it is where I want it. Instead I have to wait on the guys at work to free up to get it taken care of.

I ran the halo elka 2.0’s on my truck for awhile with the 700 spring and they gave like 3 inches of lift out of the box. I remember it took 4-5 turns of the collar to drop them a half inch. I ended up dropping them down to no threads showing for a better ride as they were a bit stiff but making adjustments was really easy on those. I run the fox 2.5’s on my new truck with 550 springs and I will say these are a lot more comfy but a pain to adjust if needed.

How are you liking the 5.0 compared to the 3.5?
