F150 dead FOB start up location

Hey guys. Don't know how many of us are new Ford guys but I am. Saw a video on 2019 f150s with a spot under the center console where you can insert your key in case it has a dead battery and it will start your truck up. Went to look and found the spot under the little cupholder mat. It's the one farthest from the dash. Hope this helps!

My jeep gc, if the fob batt died you would just touch the start button with the fob and push the fob into the button to start, do these not work the same way or do you Have to place it in that hole?
