F150 Keyless keypad cover broken after 2 months

I felt a vibration and rumble on the driver door at shoulder level, driving at around 70 miles. Though it was the door weather strip, but, when locking the truck using the keypad, it detached from the door. The upper tab was broken. Went to the dealer, not covered by warranty. Told me that it was probably damaged at the carwash, make an appointment an they’ll investigate . I just bought a new keypad, removed the mounting plate and replaced the broken one. 5 minutes job versus a few hours waiting at the dealer. Seems like a common thing on the F250’s. I got the instructions on how to do it from a video posted on their group chat.

Happened on every Ford I’ve owned. When I see it Start to come off, put some black weather strip adhesive behind it. Works great and good after that.

This just happened to me for the second time! Where did you order the part from? I tried a few online places and they are all out of stock.

Has anyone had an issue with the clips on the keypad breaking? I rarely use it but noticed it broken on my last trip. I tried taking it in for repair and dealership was so busy they can't get to it for a month. :(

Just bought the keypad assembly at the dealership, took the plate out and replace it. Service wanted the truck for a day to take the door apart, install the new keypad assembly and charge me an arm and a leg to do so. Not covered by warranty.
