What will the first mod be on your F150 Tremor?
I've got the RSI on my Raptor now and will be moving it over to the Tremor. I really like it. You will still get some dust if going at lower speeds in dusty areas, but still way less than most canopies. You can sort of see the accumulation after a few days at slower speeds over high desert moon dust. in this pic. The slower crawl just doesn't force enough air through the vent. Here's the current list:
PFF wrap - Army green with TN stars and Company logo.
Wheels/35s - it'll be interesting to see what offset/tire size will be needed.
Likely bump this up another 2 inches. I wish Carli game more love to the F150
ADD intercooler by afe - needed for winch
Trying to talk Quinn @ Vice Designs to make a hidden winch mount for the 2021+ F150
Warn Xeon 12S
Rock Sliders - Not sure if last year's white knuckle sliders will work.
honeycomb deck drawer system- "Yetineering"
Top/rack - I've been checking out the RSI and the ARE. After understanding what real dust is (Wyoming), I like the idea of food and gear without dust.
Black Oak cubes dispersed (4), 6x1 spots (2), 30x2 (1)
switchpros 9100
front mount radio antenna
Thanks for that pic. it helps a lot. How much of that is coming from the tailgate vs the cab?I've got the RSI on my Raptor now and will be moving it over to the Tremor.
Absolutely none come from the cab or rails, it seals very well, it was all from the tailgate A car wash will push water through the top vent, but normal rain doesn't get through. Thanks for that pic. it helps a lot. How much of that is coming from the tailgate vs the cab?
Haha…my same thought. Between my RSI cap and standard load out, I’m about 400lbs. I was assuming I might have to level the front a bit. Still hoping to work out how to fit 34.4 - 34.8 tires without too much suspension mods.I lied. After seeing some "in the wild" pics of that rake, my first upgrade may be a SD with Tremor package. or 600# of random payload
I think it comes down to Ford can eat a BoD on this. Even with a level lift, we're going to be super close with 34s because of this. All they had to do was match the rear wheel fender angle design (which would have made sense). or they did it on purpose. That half inch difference is the challenge to 35" had they incorporated a literal 5 degree rake to the front of the bumper, I think the problem goes away. I'll mess with different offsets in my suspension app to see if we can fit anything. I don't think a 12.5" width will fit in any case.Still hoping to work out how to fit 34.4 - 34.8 tires without too much suspension mods.
Yeah...that does suck they didn't think this through. I mean really, who really opts for 33" tires. I noticed that the 285/75R18 is only 11.2" inches wide and 34.8" tall. So going to ask my tire guy really nicely if he'll let me play around with a few different tires/wheels sizes and different offsets. Ideally I'd like to run 17" wheels with a 315/70R17. I'll be looking forward to the results of your testing.I think it comes down to Ford can eat a BoD on this. Even with a level lift, we're going to be super close with 34s because of this. I wonder if the brakes will clear 17s. I'm definitely on the save the sidewall bandwagon (becausegrip) but I'm cool with the 18s until I can find another version of my Black Rhinos (also 18s). I saw a cat in Canada that does dealership customs and he said the stock offset with the 285 75s and leveling struts will fit well. That opens us up for Wildpeaks, Ridge Grapplers and a few others.Ideally I'd like to run 17" wheels with a 315/70R17.
You'd think they'd fit. I can't see the brakes being bigger than what is on the Raptor.I wonder if the brakes will clear 17s. That makes me feel much better about my wheel choice. If it is 15mm, going with 12mm will only move it about 1/8 of an inch. Never been a negative offset bro...haha.Based on this video he sent me, ~+15. I guess it depends on function or form; close to stock and you'll be tucked up enough to get full articulation with a decent sized wheel. start going to the -offset and it looks cooler but you start swinging that rubber hammer towards your fender (and scrub radius issues). Once I get time, I'll plug the numbers in to the app and see what issues we may have.
I should have also asked, any word on just a spring replacement for the existing shocks? Not really into the leveling "pucks", but don't really want to upgrade all 4 shocks either. I know with the Raptor you could just change out the springs and didn't need to replace the whole thing. Speaking of, I have a brand new set of Eibachs for a 2018 Raptor sitting in my garage that were designed for the weight of the Ecoboost engine, but not sure if the cups and top hat are compatible on the 2021.I wonder if the brakes will clear 17s. Nothing yet on the spring only. I would think it would be the entire front strut replacement to match the length of travel to the length of the spring. I'll bet we can find the info on the tremor front struts and see if your eibachs will do what you want.I should have also asked, any word on just a spring replacement for the existing shocks? Yeah...the note on the Raptor springs says it has been tested on the factory struts. The generic Ford F150 does not have that note and says must use Eibachs struts. Yet they still sell the springs separate. So it's either strut length like you said or lack of testing.Nothing yet on the spring only.
