Saturday was the day for me. Exactly 10 months to the day since my order confirmation from Granger. I got stuck in the microchip hold for over 6 months... then shipping delays, then some slight damage during shipping. But Chip took care of me and the truck looked perfect when I picked it up on Saturday from Granger.
Was just over 1k miles back home... and I couldn't help making it a little longer by doing a detour down to Moab to hit a few trails on the way home!
A few things I learned after driving 1400 miles this weekend. First of all, driving I tried to modulate RPM's for the entire drive home. But first tank of gas, averaged 14.5 mpg... and it kept climbing as the drive progressed. Was averaging just under 20 mpg on the last stretch of interstate from Moab to Salt Lake City. I was using premium (I doubt the first tank of fuel was premium)
The one pedal drive is MONEY in Moab. Works perfectly climbing over rocks and up and down small shelf's. Same to be said for the front driving camera. Quite a few times I couldn't see the road but could navigate where to place tires by using the camera along. Also used a spotter in a few areas. A stock Tremor seems to be able to do level 4 trails without any other lifting or mods. (Usually a levels 4-6 trails requires 35's and a small lift). Didn't hit anything super steep... but one incline I was showing 14 degrees and it didn't miss a beat.
Was a little careful with the single ply General Grabber's... but honestly was impressed at how they rode and how quiet they were. No complaints for the off roading I did yesterday either.
