Hello all. Just joined, hoping to pick your brains, bounce ideas, and share experiences. Working towards an overlanding build, just need to rob a bank or two. I probably should've joined sooner but life's been busy

How do you like the SyneticUSA Retractable Tonneau Cover?

I like it! It's solid, has T-slot rails for options above the cover if you wanted. No issues with water leaking into the bed or anything. Really easy to install, one person job maybe 2hrs. The slats are aluminum and rated to support up to 500lbs (spread evenly of course), but I've never needed to put anything on top.

The only thing I would take consideration on is if you're wanting to put a bed rack that supports T-slot mounting. Unlike the Retrax brand, the slots don't go as near to the front of the bed the Retrax brand does. This is due to the design choice SyneticUSA used with the canister cover taking up some of the rail space. This limits my options for bed racks... But this was when I bought it two years ago.

Now, SyneticUSA offers a bed rack + tonneau cover combo for under $2k on Amazon so it solves that problem. Although I don't know the quality of their racks. SyneticUSA Rack+Cover Combo
