Anybody on here install one of these.

If so do you like it?

Thanks

Btw just had my BDS 6” lift kit installed w 2.5 Fox Performance Elite coilovers. This thing absorb bumps, potholes, drops like nothing. It’s buttery smooth and super sweet all around. I’m very happy with it. Here’s a few if those pics.

Nice I’m gonna do it.

So the powder coater wouldn’t get to my parts till mid January and as I was thinking about doing my BDS control arms I was concerned about them removing rubber bushings to powder coat so that eliminated doing those parts and it just wasn’t important to me anymore or worth waiting 45 +days to get the lift done.

Double check, but I believe Dana Spicer makes the Ford Performance diff cover and the same cover with their logo is much less expensive.

Yes, get the Lube Locker gasket, it's cheaper than the Ford one I got. Lube Locker Part # LLR-F975. Ford Part # HL3Z-4036-A
Yes, use the factory bolts unless you break one of the stock ones. Very soft bolts be careful.
Yes. Spicer makes this diff cover and you pay extra for "Ford Performance".
No, I did not go the the top fill hole. The rear blocks I have did not rotate the input shaft upwards to use the top hole.

Awesome, thank you!

Did you use the 4 rear block or 5 inch?

I started with 4 BDS block but had too much squat so went to the 5. I also just ordered the Fox 2.5 spanner wrench to bring the front down 1/2 inch which should make truck 100% level.

What would be the benefit of the ford performance cover be compared to stock?
From what I read it is sturdier, it definitely looks better, gives you more fill point options, the one higher point increases fluid volume for higher lifted trucks and possibly provides a better long term seal with the Lube Locker gasket.

It’s recommended I add this friction modifier , is this necessary, did you add?

I have the 5" block.

It was designed for the Raptor. The cover is 5 times heavier than the factory cover and still would clear the spare tire. Main performance benefit is you don't have to pull the cover to change the diff fluid. If Banks would make one for the 9.75 I would get it in a heart beat. They actually design the cover to increase cooling and oil movement in the diff without changing the factory fill.

Gotcha, last thing did you add the friction modifier?

Friction modifier not needed for E locking differential.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the input shaft? I have the same exact lift kit as OP 6" Fox Performance Elite coilovers and rear shocks, I have 4" blocks in the back. I'm considering the same Spicer diff cover and not sure which fill hole I would need to use. Thank you.

And what is the silver wrap around the line you used?

The cover is for a Second Gen Ford Raptor. You could get different blocks and leaf springs that would change the angle of the pinion. The top hole would still be factory fill when rotated.

The silvers lines are the Trail Turn Assist, they came wrapped that way.
