Looks like they will be starting to deliver without some features enabled but chips can be dealer installed within a year. I guess I could live without rear seat heaters for a little while if it means my truck didn't spend 3 months sitting in a field in Michigan.

Executives on Saturday told dealers Ford would provide the missing parts for dealers to install within one year.

Gm has been doing this for sometime, my boss bought a trail boss about 9 months ago and just now got heated seats and some other stuff that needed chips done 2-3 weeks ago.

My only concern would be if we have to have it installed at the dealer we bought from. Mine is about a 13 hour round trip drive. I know some of you guys who bought from granger are even farther away.

Hopefully could be installed by any dealer, should just be snapping in a module. Granger will be a 16 hour drive for me, can't do a 32 hour round trip to pick up a chip.

Hopefully it's just the Explorers mentioned in the article. If I thought my old car could make it another year, I'd cancel my order.

Have a feeling I'd be renting out a spot on the Granger lot if the dealership you bought from is where it has to be done. I want the truck but not that bad, if they start to include tremors, hopefully there's an option to decline. I'll wait
