This is probably common sense for the majority of you but it is something i was caught offguard by when i bought my 2022 Tremor.
Never really looked at my FordPass App point allocation so i didn't notice that i had ZERO points in it. Spent around 2k in service and repairs since 2018 on my 2013 FX4 but i had given the dealer my work e-mail - and my FordPass was using a personal e-mail address. So they weren't linked. And i got no points. Whoops!
My local dealer said hey no problem, i'll send the invoices out to you and you can retroactively add them. Well... that didn't turn out so well.
Because i traded in my 2013 to the dealer before adding the old missing points to my account, Ford customer service says i am no longer entitled to those points. The VIN is already associated to a different owner so i can't have them even though it was my money spent.
I lost... $10 ??? ha oh well. But figured i would mention it for any of you that will be trading in an older truck towards a Tremor.
Just something to be aware of
