22’ F150 tremor (on order)
So I’ve been doing lots of research on available suspension options.

I’m al little disappointed the stock tremor doesn’t come with some better shocks like a Fox 2.0 but obviously the cost of the truck with all the tech people would likely just go up to a raptor base for that. Annny way

I had some day dreams and though hmmm I wonder if raptor “stuff” example: UCA coil overs shocks leafs on and on would fit on a tremor?

I’m new to ford trucks so forgive my ignorance. I’m thinking it would be cool but the reality is the UCA mounts are likely wider and would not fit also would make the whelp base wider and maybe take the fenders off.

Just an idea to start a discussion. Maybe we have other crazy’s in the group who want a manny raptor with out the look. I’m sure aftermarket will catch up in the next 5 years.

Pax Power does exactly that. There are tons of threads on the F-150 forum of the conversion. I know on the Gen 13's the regular F-150 needs a weld in top shock bucket that people sell to fit the Raptor shocks. You wouldn't want to run a Raptor UCA without the Raptor lower control arm. They do fit, even Expedition owners have put the Raptor front end on.

That expedition is sweet.

They do some very cool conversations.

I feel like buying a kit from Dirtking or camburg is probably along the same lines. It’s all about how much money you want to spend.

I’m thought was buying a wrote off raptor and start swapping parts but I’m sure it’s could cost the same at the end of the day.

It has been done on the 13th/14th gen F150 and I believe Baja kits makes the parts. You can run a Raptor coilover if you swap the lower control arms. It is not cheap!!! $4k!!!

Yeah for sure. I think for how much converting costs your better off doing something more mild and going between full long travel and stock.

I think I’ll figure out some coil overs and control arm upgrades. Should be tremor specific by the time mine is here

Well, had I done in December what I'm considering doing now, many of us would be running Yeti suspension for Tremors, in a month or two.

If the Bilstein equipped F150 is real, they should have usable parts by June. If Fox releases theirs next month, they should be available sometime in 2023

You talking about the B8 set up. Shows

UCA
Front coil overs
Rear shocks.

By the time you guys do a long travel kit or custom suspension you could have just bought a Gen2 Raptor and put HD rear springs or air bags on. If you wanted a Raptor, why not just buy one? Or even a Gen3 and replaced the coils with bags. When the Raptor R hits the road Gen2's will be cheap. Gen3's maybe more available.

Yeah that’s some what the conclusion I’ve come to. For another 4-6k I could have ordered a raptor. But I like the tremor. Just ideas is all

I've got a set of Bilstein coils that I never installed for my Gen13 that I was wondering they'd fit my Tremor- I'm going to guess the answer is 'no'.

dunno. measure them and check the bolt sizes.

Well some people buy what is affordable and like to think, tinker, mod, upgrade gives them something cool to do. Naturally some people like to build things and work on their trucks in their garages. It’s fun. There is no way I could buy a Raptor with the $30k markup out there. So putting some of the Raptor bits and pieces could be fun, educational and a smart on the new Tremor to make it better. I wonder how good a Tremor could be with another $30k worth of suspension, HP mods, frame strengthening…. Could be a cool exercise. I agree with you buy a Raptor but I for one would love to do a good Fox upgrade, maybe borrow something from the Raptor without paying $110k for a Raptor.

It definitely crossed my mind to sell the side by side and sink that money into this truck…needless to say I convinced myself against that, basically the having to still daily it means you at least gotta be a little nice to it on the trails. But I fully support someone else doing it as long as it still suits your needs.

Just a thought. When Fox comes out with a Tremor specific 2.0 or 2.5 upgrade people will go with that rather than thinking about what they can rob from the Raptor. I’m sitting here doing something I like, thinking about what ways I can work on or do on the Tremor rather than watch the latest dumb tv shows they have nowadays.

Pax Power is building V8 Lariat F150’s with Gen2 Raptor suspension. Cool stuff but with the supercharger it’s $100k. For that price I would
just get the Gen 3 + the $30k markup.

I've been thinking about doing this myself. Plenty of slightly used Raptor take-off parts available online. It does get pricey, but coming from a modified Tundra on Icon suspension, I share the OP's sentiment. For those saying "why not just buy a raptor", I've wheeled with raptors before and in the tight trails of E Oklahoma and Arkansas, the extra body width makes a huge difference. I feel like the regular F-150 with the extra travel of a Raptor would be the sweet spot for the sort of wheeling I do.

You would still be wide, so the extra couple inches in body width is make or break?

For some trails even a stock F-150 is too wide, but every bit helps. Having extra track width can help keep the body out of the rocks. But yeah. the extra body width does make a difference. I have pics somewhere from a previous trip where I got past two trees with about a 1/4 in clearance on either side. Nerve-wracking, especially in the dark.

I’m also thinking that unless someone like Fox, King or Icon comes out with a Tremor specific 2”-2.5” lift kit (3” is too much “bad CV angles” in my opinion) for proper off road I may go with a Raptor front setup. The front Torsen was the reason why I bought the Tremor. If it wasn’t for the Torsen I would have bought a Lariat and added the Fox 2.5 lift kit and called it a day. Buying a used and abused 2 year old Raptor without warranty is not something that I wanted to do, I’m just wondering how the front end from a Raptor plays with our Tremors. Maybe someone out there with more time and funds can convert one so we can get a better idea of how that works.

The king coilovers work on the Tremor, a 3" kit nets around 2" of lift if set to maximum.
