Apologies for the newb question. Does anyone know what the standard fuel tank size on the 402A 2023 Tremor? It is Tremor High with the Tow package. The window sticker does not say anything about tank size. One person at the dealer says 36 gallon is standard. Another says it is 20 gallon. If I build out a similar truck on shop.ford.com, the details specifically callout a 36 gallon tank. It is the deciding factor on purchasing the truck so trying to find a way to verify. Thanks!

I don't know if the 36 is standard with the 402A with the 3.5, but that was the case for me with the 402A 5.0, I confirmed this with my dealer when ordering.

36 gallon. when you build it on the ford site there is a spot that lists it, and you can't uncheck it no matter the engine or trim level.

36 gallon on every tremor I have seen.

I was told mine was coming with a 26 gallon as I didn’t specify when I ordered. If it shows up with a 36 I’ll be amped. I already found the biggest aftermarket one I can get I think it’s 42 gallons and I will stick it in there if need be. I drive a lot so don’t wanna be at the pump all the time.

I just bought mine last week off the lot, '23, and right now my MPG is only 14.4 I'm assuming because of test drives they did and such. And also starting the truck up to heat up in these cold southwestern PA winter days... hopefully this gets up closer to 18-19 mpg. But anyway, if I take 36 x 14.4 = 518.4. Well I filled it up this morning and it said 521 miles to E. So I'm guessing it's a 36 gallon tank haha. I didn't take a look at how many gallons I put it or I could have done the math that way too.

it'll get better once you have some miles on it. mine was 12-14 the first couple of tanks and now its about 16.5-18 fartin around town

The one I rented on Turo did ~17 on 89 octane.

36 gallon tank was always a must for me.

My MPG is going up as I drive it. Out of the dealer lot I was under 15. Now, same driving habits in the same driving area I'm about 16.7 (all non highway) driving. Using standard 87 octane with up to 10% ethanol. I have about 1500 miles on the truck so far.

Mine is 36 but shows 50 miles of range left when I hit the 28 gallon mark, which is really annoying as I should have 8 gallons of gas left.

that is the same issue ran into today. 120 miles remaining, down to a quarter tank, and put 21.5 gallons in.

Old post but same newb question. I have had the truck for 2 top offs after running it pretty low and I don’t get more than 30ish in it even after it says only 50 miles till empty. I’ve been averaging roughly 19 mpg so should have at least 100 miles left. I have to assume since I can get more than 30 in it I have the 36 or was there a 32 gallon version in 2023 as well?

Thanks
E

I have experienced the same thing. I was able to get almost 31 gallons in after being well under the 50 mile warning. I’m pretty confident it’s a 36 gallon tank but I’m not sure how they design it and if you can actually use all of the 36 gallons. Maybe somebody out there has been crazy enough to drive until the engine turns off.

I may have to be that guy. 😆. I won’t run it till it quits but may throw a can in the back and run it much lower than I have.

I’m sure they all have a small amount of unusable fuel but roughly 16% unusable seems a bit high.

I have run the gauge to 0 miles remaining a few times and it will take 32.X gallons. There is also a YouTube video where a guy drove 40 miles after 0 to run it out.

Keep in mind there's like 3 gallons in the reserve that are part of those 36 advertised gallons but they won't show in your fuel left.
So if you put gas when you still have 50 miles to go(around 3 gallons left in tank) and you fill in the tank with 30 gallons, that is 33 gallons so far. Plus the 3 in reserve it checks out to 36 gallons.
