Hello everyone, Brad from AZ.

Originally ordered a Tremor on June 16th, the day they went live, and after getting rolled week after week, and eventually to a 2022, I managed to snag one from a local dealer at X-plan. All it was missing from my original build was the Torsen option, and I have since come to terms with that. :)

Picked up Sept 30th.

So far I have added:
Husky Wheel Liners
Husky Mud Flaps
Husky Floor Liners
Stubby Antenna
Painted the ovals and Chrome
S&B Cold Air Intake
Pedalbox Throttle module
Magnaflow 24"x8", 3" inlet and outlet, straight through muffler
Line-X bedliner

Plan on adding the AFE Scortcher tune after we see a few more positive data points - Looking to mop up on the all the Raptors in the neighborhood. ;)

Picking up my new travel trailer this weekend and have a couple hundred miles home to get familiar with it. Handling and squat will determine the plan for a lift.

Leaning towards a shock upgrade 2" level and sticking to 33s, either Fox or Falcon (I like their tow-mode selector) once they confirm '21/Tremor fitment. (I know there are some '21s out there with both setups but I'm waiting for the manufacturer to give the thumbs up and see the difference in valving/dimensions vs the prior gen.

That's all for now. Look forward to contributing to the forum.

Welcome. Nice ride.

Mahalo! Awesome to see the Tremors have made their way to the islands.

Nice looking truck! You have done several of the mods I plan to do when my 22 arrives.

Yup. I think there are 4 of us so far on the island of Oahu. Iconic Silver, Oxford white, Antimatter Blue and Leadfoot . All took delivery in the same week I believe last week of September. I think more are on the way to the Dealers. I know they are out there but haven't run into any other F-150 Tremors. Saw a couple of F-250 Tremors though.

Which Husky floor liner did you choose?

Welcome man. Really happy you found us, here. I dropped my 32' TT on to my hitch today with 1120'ish pounds directly on the receiver (didn't hook up my WD bars) it had about a half inch squat. I'll reattach correctly, this weekend if I get my tongue jack motor in and replaced....

Welcome to the forum Brad! What's the total weight and hitch weight on the trailer? Let us know how it does pulling it!

What is pricing like on the islands?

Welcome to the forum Brad! What's the total weight and hitch weight on the trailer? Let us know how it does pulling it!
2021 Tremor with Tow Package
-GVWR: 7,000lbs
-GVW: 5,451lbs
-Payload Capacity: 1,549lbs
-Tow Capacity w/ WD Hitch: 11,600lbs
-Tongue Weight Capacity w/ WD Hitch: 1,160lbs
-GCVWR: 17,100lbs

Trailer is a 2022 Grand Design 200MK (25')
-UVW: 4,796lbs
-Cargo Capacity: 2,199lbs
-GVWR: 6,995lbs
-Dry Hitch Weight: 480lbs
-62g water: 517lbs
-(2) batteries: 95lbs
-(2) 20lb Propane tanks: 75lbs
-All of which brings a wet weight of 5,483lbs. I know from my last trailer my average gear/grocery/tools/misc weight is 300lbs, so she will be rolling down the road at a total 5,785lbs. Lighter than the truck which is always positive.
-At this weight, I am estimating a tongue weight of 695lbs (12%) with the weight distribution hitch.

Tow Capacity: 5,785 on 11,600 = 50%, good to go.

Payload/GVWR of the truck…this is where it gets tight.
-Me: 200lbs
-Wife: 130lbs
-Line-X Bedliner: 50lbs
-WD Hitch: 55lbs
-Dogs: 170lbs
-Tongue Weight: 695lbs
-Totals 1,300lbs. 250lbs to spare, but running at 85% of the truck’s cargo capacity.

The ONLY way to significantly impact/reduce this is to reduce tongue weight, but even my last 19’ trailer had a 560lb loaded tongue weight, so were only talking 135lbs/8% reduction. Doesn’t look like I’ll be putting the dirtbike in the bed of the truck when camping…bummer.

GCVWR of 17,100lbs.
-Loaded Truck = 6,750lbs
-Loaded Trailer = 5,785lbs
-Total weight = 12,535lbs – 73% of capacity, 4565lbs to spare, good to go.

The only place I am concerned is the payload of the truck itself. 1,549 felt good up front but sure got used up quick. I know that adding firmer shocks/springs/bags, etc does not increase the capacity, but seeing as I am at 85% of the payload capacity, and 96% of the GVWR, I definitely think that some adjustable/tow specific shocks would be a safety measure worth installing. And possibly some Load E Tires.

@BA73 Nice truck! Did you notice much of a difference in swapping out your stock muffler?
Thanks! It is perfect in my opinion. The muffler was $180 shipped to my door from Magnaflow and a local muffler shop charged me to $90 for install, $270 total. They first welded the muffler inlet to set it in place, and then they adjusted the tail pipes to be perfectly flush with the bumper and centered in the bumper cutouts. Once perfect, they did a small weld connecting the tailpipes so that when the move they move together, equally, and will always return to dead-zero. Then they did some custom bends and welded up the back end.

I went back and forth on mufflers. The oem is an offset inlet, dual outlet. Which means the flow looks like this:
1638978103998.png

This is why one tail pipe always seemed louder and was already accumulating more soot. Uneven flow. (excuse the horrible drawing, on my cell)

I went with the center inlet/dual outlet to even out the flow and utilize the dual exhaust equally.

My goal was stock raptor sound levels and I think this muffler nailed it. There are THREE Gen2 Raptors on my street that I hear start up and drive off every day and I wanted that sound, not anything louder or obnoxious. Obviously a true dual system would have been quite a bit more expensive but from the sound standpoint I think its right on stock Raptor levels.

It sounds great off the line, it is noticeable during downshifts/merging, but after ~5th gear/~55 mph, sounds 100% stock, zero drone, which is what I was aiming for since I plan to spend hours towing down the road at 65mph. Pleasant surprise, can actually hear some faint turbo and induction noises since adding the muffler.

The OEM muffler was like 36" long and 12" wide. I went with the 24" Magnaflow as the shop told me they did an 18" on a 3.5 previously and she was LOUD and not in a good way. Overall very pleased for under $300.

Congrats, I too interested in your experience with the S&B....

Nice truck! Did you see any improvement with the cold air intake?
I put a CAI on everything I've ever owned, its just who I am. :)

I chose the S&B for a few reasons:
1) Closed box. Living in AZ I want that air as cold and insulated as possible. I was also under the impression originally that the hood vents were functional (they're not) so I didn't want to risk water entering the engine bay/air filter directly above the air box.
2) It comes with a much larger inlet than stock, whereas the Roush reuses the stock inlet and costs $100 more.
3) Dyno numbers. I know there are so many opinions on wehether or not CAIs actually do anything, but I wanted a brand who had some dyno proof, which meant for our trucks I was down to AFE or S&B. AFE is a great company and I have used their products in the past with no issue. Ultimately the S&B was once again $100-$150 cheaper than the AFE options and boasted better dyno graphs. S&B was also FAST in their responses to my fitment questions and the intake showed up in three days.

After install. Butt dyno = yeah, maybe theres some power. Sound = 10% louder max. I was actually slightly disappointed right after install, induction noise was a little bit more noticeable, but no turbo noise. It wasnt until I installed the muffler that you could hear this truck had turbos, so in conjunction they work wonderfully. I still think its the most quality and complete kit on the market, especially when price is considered, so I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Truthfully, best mod? This damn thing. Pedalbox. $300. 5 minute install.

A guy on my street has one on his Raptor, he unplugged it and gave it to me to try out. I can't explain it but the throttle, and even the transmission, feel so much smoother and it feels like you plugged in 50 horsepower. This mod was INSTANTLY noticeable and made me giggle. Immediately purchased one. It has a normal, sport, and race mode, with 6 levels of each, totaling 18 throttle maps to chose from. I drive on Green 6 (6th least aggressive) and it is awesome.

I want to try out the AFE Scortcher tune, which adds 50 HP for real, but then I'd be returning to stock throttle maps and giving up the silky smooth acceleration that the Pedalbox provides. Not sure its worth it at this point.

Thanks for the great info. I’ve never even heard of a Pedalbox but I’m headed to hit the Google as we speak.

Update on the Pedalbox as I have received some questions. The Pedalbox website doesn;'t appear to show the F150 in the drop down, but the DTE website (parent company) does.

I purchased mine from a local shop that had them in stock, this is the item number on my Box:

After seeing that there are three different ones available for the 3.5 motor, I am now curious as to which I have. Either way, it works flawlessly. Let us know if anyone finds out which is the correct part number for our trucks! :)

great feedback and cool mods thus far

I sent them a message asking which one to chose from the list and they want me to send a picture of the accelerator plug but my Tremor is orders and won't be here until January or February so can't do this. If anyone happens to take a picture of the plug I can send it and see what they say otherwise feel free to contact them directly and let us know what they tell you.
