Has anyone explored the Rough Country 2” front leveling spacer?

My dealer is looking into the availability to do this and or no since the Rough Country says no to CCD option.

I plan on getting the Toyo tires AT 295/70 R18

I am thinking the CCD means Continuously controlled dampening.

FWIWi I prefer the AT3 over the 2. I think you can still get either/or.

Leveling spacers will work, but I wouldn't recommend it if you actually plan on using the full articulation in your truck. It puts stress on components not designed for it at full droop. You'd be better off waiting for a leveling collar or a spring replacement (if possible). Also, if you decided to replace the entire strut with adjustable coilovers, some FX4 guy will probably salivate over your old tremor suspension. I will likely do a rip and replace all 4 shocks and rear leaf springs and sell the whole bundle.

What will you replace for rear leaf springs?

Really hoping Deaver makes a leaf pack. They will typically make one that is factory height with springs instead of the block Ford uses. Then they will usually make some in +1” intervals for standard spring rate and heavy duty spring rate. I will likely go with heavy duty because of my canopy, constant payload and towing. I will decide the height once I know how much I sag with my canopy, payload and how much my fronts will raise. Likely will try to keep 1” - 1.5” of rake for squat with a trailer. That should be plenty with HD springs. Based on the normal 400 lbs payload on my Raptor and a 2.5” front lift, I bought the +3 HD Deavers. Will likely be similar for the Tremor.

They will outperform to stock Ford stuff on both on and off-road.

I wonder what you can get back out of the stock leaf, shocks, and overcoils — how much with that F150 guy pay?

Probably about $1000.

I talked to RC and the 569 2” spacer kit will work on the 21 Tremor from what I was told. If anyone installs this kit I would love to see measurement differences to see how much rake is left in the truck after a 2” level. This is the kit I have been looking at installing once I get my truck.

So today my selling Ford dealer took a new in stock Tremor and put her in the lift and had their best suspension mechanic look at it. And here is the comments:

I have it back here now. Bill is highly against installing those pucks 1) they start to ride like shit 2) it takes the factory rake out and makes it looks like it’s squatting 3) there is a height sensor both front and rear and not sure what exactly they do. But the answer is yes, he can install it.

Are they trying to up sell a fox kit? If it was really that bad there wouldn’t be thousands of “puck spacer” kits sold every year.

Do you know what size spacers the technician was referring to, or just all spacer kits? Would he have a different answer on a 1.5” spacer vs a 2.5” spacer?

Look at post #1

I really want to put a bigger tire on and would love the hear the best one to use.

Spacers are fine if you don't plan on using the full offroad limits of this truck and only care about the looks or for bigger tires. Curious though why someone would limit the offroad capability of a Tremor as that's the point of not buying an FX4 in the first place. If I were in your shoes, I would wait to see if a front spring replacement option comes out from Eibach. Would be about the same price as a spacer and wouldn't limit the capabilities of the truck. I've had pretty much every leveling option for trucks in the past: spacers, perch collars, spring replacements and full suspension replacements. I'm holding out for better options. Just my $.2.

I like the idea of a spring replacement, any idea of anyone is actually going to make one for the Tremor? Is there an option from the regular F150 aftermarket parts that might fit to lift the front of the truck up ~2”?

Eibach will certainly make one, they already do for the Raptor and the 2020 and older F150s. Besides, they pretty much make the springs for most other shock manufacturers as well. The only other company that might would be Geiser, but the Eibachs are better IMO. The biggest question really is: "Will it be compatible with the OE shock?" The reason I say that is the Raptor spring does work with the factory Fox 2.5s that come on the Raptor and says so on their website. The regular 2020 F150 says the entire strut has to be replaced. So I think it will depend on which direction the Tremor OE shock goes.

The only other option that is better than a spacer, but not as good as a spring, would be a perch collar that pre-loads the existing spring so you don't limit things like travel or run the risk of breaking parts. That will also have to wait for development from companies like RPG or Icon. And they may or may not even make them.

As for other F150 fitments, there are no 2021 F150 or Tremor specific suspension options out yet. Ford Performance told me not to use the 2020 Fox 2.0 lift and that a new part was in the works. If you look at Roush's website, they are putting the 2020 Fox 2.0s on, but lowering them 5/8" to make them work, so you won't even get the full 2" lift. I have called the vendor I bought my Raptor suspension from and he also said no options yet. So, we basically get to enjoy being early adopters of a model with no aftermarket options yet. I'm just going to wear the "skinny jeans" until a proper Fox 2.5 kit and Deaver leaf springs come out. Then I'll get my new wheels and tires.

That is a downside of being some of the first to have a new model. I still have 2 months to wait for the truck to be built and take a train ride west, maybe that will be enough time for some more options to be available. Unless something is released by mid November, I will be doing a spacer to get rid of some of the rake and put some miles on the original suspension while the better options are designed.
