Having windshield replaced

So I have an unusual defect on my windshield. There is a black spot in between the glass that is in my line of sight. I told the dealer about it, but the service lady dragged her feet on getting their glass folks to come look at it. Long story short, I just gave up on it after 3 weeks, but after leaving a harsh survey for their service department someone over there took issue and called me out of the blue. No questions asked when I provided the pics, and now windshield is ordered to be replaced.

Moral of the story, if you had bad service, those surveys can be a ticket to happier ending. Fill them out and let someone know, cause apparently some people still actually care.

Here are the pics of my strange windshield defect. I'll try to get a video of them replacing it so you know what to expect.

Yep. Unlike other things you can ignore (out of sight, out of mind), I'm reminded every morning I get in the truck...lol.

Now I need to run out and check mine during lunch.. and I just got over the fact that it's the first vehicle that I need a step stool to clean the windshield!

Ohh man, spent forever! Only after using a small razor did I realize the spot was in the glass. Just trying to ignore it until new windshield is in. It helps if the windshield is slightly dirty or there is rain
