2021 F150 LARIAT 500a
Hey all, hoping those could share their insights, going to be ordering a 2023 tremor soon and stuck on which trim (400 401 or 402) to order. Help!

I live in coastal south east, drive on beach weekly, no snow and wont be doing too much other off roading but the occasional trails to fishing hole/ rivers etc.

coming out of a 500a Lariat, but also have had an STX and do not mind the stripped down interior either. where do yall see the most value in the lineup? thanks!

I’m a cheep sucker so I went with the 400 and added Towson, Tow tech package, 36 gal tank, and armrest shelf thing. Total Granger price was $50,300 (11/11/2021). Saving the $6000+ from the 401 allowed me to add the topper, ceramic coat, RuffTuff seat covers, Husky floor mats, ford warranty.
I still need to upgrade the rear end as I’ll be hauling a pretty big trailer.
Maybe you can go see some before you choose?

402a, No regrets. You get everything you want on a truck!!!

I went with 402A. Can't live without all of the options.

I got a 401a and only regret it when I get reminded it doesn’t have 4 auto. This was when ford’s order guide still mistakenly listed AWD as standard on tremors.

If the tow tech package is cut for 2023 I’d go 402a no questions for the 4 auto and 360 camera. Luxury features I could take or leave but functional stuff is priceless.

I did the same exact thing and feel the same way.

In looking at vehicle purchase differently now. We live once, came into this world with nothing and will leave it the same way. If you keep a vehicle for 6 years or longer you will own 10-13 in your lifetime so why not get luxury and comfort. My vote is 402a.

Also went with 400A, with 36ga and tow pkg, for many of reasons AZtremor lists above. But, I abhor debt and tend to live well within means. I prefer leather interior, for sure, but also prefer gears on the column and physical analog gauges on dash. I tend to turn off all driving assist features and bing-bong reminders on any vehicle I buy, so those are waste of money to me. Will upgrade stereo regardless, so that's out. You will get old school headlights with 400A, instead of cool LED. And you'll have a physical key for ignition. All that said, go with comfort level on spending, and how much the options matter which can't be added outside of package selection. Cheers

This will sound elitist, but I wouldn't even consider anything but the 402A. I wanted the Raptor T-Case and the nice interior/cameras/headlights/tech etc. If the 402A didn't exist I'd have ordered a Lariat with FX4 and put the suspension, wheels, tires on that I wanted.

I got a 401 and to me it’s perfect happy medium, still by far fanciest truck I’ve ever owned and the cost savings left me with more monies left over to spend on aftermarket goodies. That being said It would be nice to have the 4a for winter and the nice taillights.

Started out at 401 + torsen + tow tech + bed utility + 360 camera + 2kw. Went to 402 because of transfer case. Said YOLO and added Unleashed. I have been saving for 4 years for a new vehicle and plan on having this one for about 10 years as the family adventure vehicle.
