It appears as though my dealer forgot to include (or the part grew legs) the inlay for the phone charger.
And because there is no inlay, my phone just slips right off the charger. Making it completely useless.
It took me a while to even know there was an inlay there at all, and I thought at first it was just horrible engineering by Ford.
Now, I tried to use some weather stripping to jerry-rig a working charge station, but it only kind of works. The heat in the truck melts the glue and it eventually slides off.
Pain in the a$$.
I reached out to my dealer and let them know about the missing component as soon as I realized it was gone, and they are doing the right thing by trying to get it for me. But they are having a really hard time finding the part. I'm starting to think they are not going to be able to come up with one.
Does anyone know any other channels that I can try to get this part? Maybe a manufacturer or something. Aftermarket?
Short of test driving a tremor and snatching one of course.
