All,

Looking to close deal on 2022 Tremor tomorrow, but want to ensure getting fair deal. Its a loaded ( 402 A , moonroof, trailer tow, 18 speaker sound, bed utility) - basically MSRP minus $750. Thoughts?

I am used to getting a couple of grand off MSRP, but we are in COVID hell! Thanks

Best I’ve seen on a stock unit is x-plan (~7% under MSRP). Ordered units can be under MSRP by about 11%.

Mine's flat out MSRP, dealership said they are not doing any discounts, incentives, etc of any kind right now, and that if car is not an ordered one, it will receive a $4K markup when it hits the lot. Checked with a couple of others in the area, and similar stories. Definitely a first for me, buying a vehicle this way..

@Bannerman mentioned current deal in Iowa, FWIW-

I’m paying 63k for basically the same truck.

Buying from Granger or if you have access x-plan, will get you big discount. Msrp is still a deal these days if the aforementioned are not an option for you. My best local dealer was msrp, the rest were $3-10k over msrp.

Any particular dealership for 11% under MSRP? My daughter lives close to you~ Thanks

Granger was about 11% under msrp for me

I know it’s not the same package but I got my 401a (mid package) for 59000. Thought that was a good deal. Idk… I got a Tremor for the same price as I did my gmc elevation.

Talk to Chip at Granger Ford in Iowa. 3% under invoice, $180 doc fee, $45 temp license to drive it home.
Cost to pick it up: $500 airline(or free if you have miles), $300 gas, $150 hotel.
Savings: over $6000 as I included tax savings.

where did you buy it? X-plan? Thanks
Granger and Chapman are the least expensive @ 3% under invoice. With that being said, I found a dealer in the PNW to honor X-Plan on an order. The difference between X-Plan and Granger would have been eaten up for me in travel expenses or to pay to have the vehicle shipped (over 2,000 miles). So, I used the "somewhat local dealer" and X-Plan.

If you call around looking to use X-Plan w/various dealerships, I'd recommend talking to someone in Fleet or Fleet Manager. The dealer I'm using told me they were not honoring X-Plan right now (inventory or build) when I spoke w/sales and a sales mgr. I called back a couple days later and talked w/someone in fleet who didn't bat an eye at using X-Plan as long as it was an order.... I ordered that day!!!

Big thank you to those on this thread, as I landed a PIN today from a family friend, for x-plan.. Having never bought a new Ford before, I was unaware of this yuge help-out. Salesman said I wouldn't know the dollar amount until truck arrives, but if anything near the ~10% I'm seeing around forum land, this is awesome....

Just placed my order today through Chapman Ford (PA). Invoice minus 4%. MSRP on my order was $69,300 (402A plus some goodies). Price after discount was $62,028. Crazy times right now, but I didn’t think I’d do better.

You should be able to access the xplan build and price site with your PIN. It will give you the xplan price. Invoice - 0.4% + $275 program fee is the formula.

That's who I went with. Planning on flying out with my son, it should be around his spring break when it's delivered. Then we'll hit the Hershey factory, the Columbus zoo and maybe one other place on our drive back to KC. Father son road trip in the new Tremor.

Sounds like a great trip to break in the new rig and get some quality father/son time in. Im only 20 minutes away from the dealer but will take one of my sons to pick it up anyway. Prob not my youngest, he’s still upset the Raptor is going away haha
