Howdy folks.
I'm new here and I wanted to say hi before I start saying goofy things in the comments. I'm from Cali, (San Diego) and I have a silver 402A on order. No VIN yet and no build date. Ordered 7/26/2021. It seems like it has been forever since I decided to get the Tremor, but seeing the photos of other people getting theirs here in this forum has really girded my loins. Cant wait to pick mine up! They are saying Nov/Dec but given the market conditions I'm not sure how accurate that is. I am also NOT looking forward to paying MSRP (I've never paid MSRP for a vehicle ever) but what are you gonna do. Anyways, Ill post my progress for any of you that are interested and thanks for having me!

Thank you Yeti. Ill dig around for the link cause heck yeah Ill take 3% under MSRP if I can get it! You driving a Tremor yet?

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully it won't be forever. I ordered a '21 Lariat 502A back in June and it got stuck in microchip purgatory. I just happened upon a 402a Tremor 2 weeks ago the very day it came off the truck at the dealership. Bought it immediately! Someone else can grab the Lariat if it ever gets chipped. Good luck...you'll love it, even if you have to pay MSRP.

Not yet. I have a build week and a VIN but given their silliness, I'll wait until it's been in my driveway for a week before I believe it.

Thank you kindly G-Man.
I keep my eye opened whenever I drive past a dealer just in case something like what happened to you happens to me, but man, its slim pickins out here in SoCal. Nary a full size truck to be found on the "new" lots. Much less a random Tremor. That would be like seeing a sasquatch in the wild. Makes the prospect of actually picking up a new truck all the more exciting TBH. In a sick way.
When it finally comes in you can bet that I'll be doing the millionaire strut all over town for weeks. Even if I pay MSRP like a sap. :D Congrats on the new truck by the way. Have you found a good leveling kit? Done any mods yet or are you letting it bake in a while?

Welcome brother! Like you, had one on order. Then started polling the Ford inventory page and found some dealer orders showing up close by. Figured I'd go in to see the supposedly orange seats and hideous rake myself and ended up just buying one that had all my required features (except Torsen). Paid MSRP like a little b**ch. Anyway, you might try the inventory search with a wider range. I'd be happy to go check out and send pics of any trucks local to the sacramento area if you see one you like.

I am investigating how much to add Torsen after purchase. — no firm estimates yet.

As you said, I'm letting it back in a bit before any mods. I'd like to do a leveling kit at some point, but I tow a camper. I haven't hooked it up yet to see how it impacts the rake. That'll determine some of what I'll do for leveling.

Whoa. That tool just blew my mind! Great insight samb! I will now be scheduling a little test drive at a dealer nearby. This is awesome.
I will also look at the inventory up by Sac town as well and if I find one with Torsen I just may take you up on your offer. I wouldn't mind taking a little train ride up the valley if I find the right truck. Heck at one point I was thinking I was going to need to leave the state to buy a Raptor so what's a little trip up state. Thanks for that offer. Really appreciate it.

The lack or Torsen Front axel seems to be a common thread amongst all the California Tremors I am seeing on the inventory page. I'm assuming these were all early (Job #1) dealer orders before the Torsen was available. I ordered mine with the Torsen, but the idea of walking off the lot with one today-ish is pretty tempting.

Check with your dealer to see if they’ll take X-plan pricing on the Tremor. I got x-plan for $45 or so and it saved me like $5k.

Mine wouldn't....not worth canceling my order for one that does. I'd lose my $1000 deposit and the $2000 cash offer I locked in. Then add in shipping. Also no lead foot after this year.

This is the first I've heard of X-Plan pricing. Thanks for the tip!
Ill ask, but it looks like its for employees and not jerks like me just rolling in off the street.

It's not just for employees....jerks off the street can get it from affiliation programs, like EAA. The Tremor is not excluded from it, but dealers can opt out of the x-plan so you may have to search a bit. Granger Ford is also offering 3% over invoice for orders.

Roger that. Ill look for a list of affiliated programs. I'm not a pilot, but there may be something. 5-grand-off is definitely not nothing.
