Hidden winch mount anyone try this

I just installed the swarfworks one on my truck . I will say the sw version was very well made. It’s more expensive, but worth the money for the build quality. Haven’t seen the rc version in person. Couldn’t give an opinion on that one till I do.

Hadn't see that version. I really like the Swarfworks hidden winch mount, if you can get it, but chances are this one would work okay too and is likely easier to get. I don't know why this would only work with synthetic rope winches, as it says, nor do I know why you'd need to cut the front bumper, but who knows!

The downside I've seen to the Swarfworks, which may or may not be an issue here, is, at least for me, the power switch sits atop the winch when it's installed, and that, again, just on mine as far as I know, had a tendency to vibrate to the off position. I "fixed" it with electrical tape, but now that I'm going to re-install the winch, I'll make a better fix for it prior to installation so that won't be a problem. It's a pain in the rear to access that switch even on dry ground and I don't even want to think about trying when the front end is stuck in mud or water. I don't know if the RC version of this orients the winch in the same direction, but just something to think about.

I have the Swarfworks winch mount and just installed the control box relocation kit to move it up under the hood. It was a bit time consuming and I am still determining exactly where I can and want to mount it under the hood, but that solved the issue for me. The link below is the one I used. You actually get rid of the entire housing and only use the small control box inside the control pack. I’ll post pics once I finish the final install under the hood. Right now I have it zip tied to a front crash bar by the battery.https://www.warn.com/control-pack-relocation-kit-89960

Haven’t had a chance to put it on yet, but if you can’t get the swarfworks mount on their site, I bought it from here:
Had good experience with ordering through them.

I got a swarfworks too. There are no instructions. I have watched the video a couple times and there are some things he glazes over. Where to the spacers go? Is it between the winch mount and the bumper or between the frame and winch mount? May be dumb questions and I could probably figure it out once i have the bumper off and see what’s going on, but I like to know as much as possible before getting into it.
All I see are a bunch of parts and random bolts nuts and washers and no idea really what goes where. Thanks for any info!
