Hood and Engine Bay not Color Painted

I just noticed that on my new ‘22 Tremor that the inside hood and engine Bay Area are not painted Iconic Silver like the rest of the vehicle and door jams. It is white. Is this a complete mess and defect at the factory or is everyone else’s engine bay and hood white?

Should I go back to the dealer and demand Ford fixes this and at least paints my underneath side of the hood?

That is messed up, nobody would be happy with that. Mine is black and looks like it has a base coat black but it is not finished with clear coat or even looks nice but it is not a completely different color. I have to agree with you, that looks very poorly done an you will have to explain that when you go to sell it.

I saw another thread on the Gen14F150 forum that I think this is common. I could be wrong though.

I have a 2022 in Atlas Blue. I just checked under my hood and mine is painted blue, though it looks darker than the exterior of my truck and does not have clear coat.

My Atlas Blue is all flat black under the hood. So you got lucky.

Yep. Seems standard now. I went to dealer and checked 4 different tremors and 2 lariats and they all seem to be coming either black or white which is shocking to me that they wouldn’t paint them the same color as the rest of vehicle. Definitely cutting corners to save a few bucks on paint which is surprising for a $75k+ vehicle. Truck is awesome other than that.

Just finished having it fully wrapped in Stek Films Matte wrap. Just added level, air bags, tint, tonneau cover and about to add cold air intake and tune. May post some pics in a build thread

That's messed up. The slightly different coloration under the hood is nor. Al since it's just the paint and not a few layers of clear like the outer surface.

But to have the engine bay and hood white when the truck is not white?!? I've never seen that before and I'd be pissed.

All the new Tremors coming in are either white or black and they pick the plot that is closest match I guess. Trying to cut corners and save money which is ridiculous for a $75k+ truck!

Wish I hadn't stumbled on this thread. I never noticed it when I swapped out the engine cover for the Raptor model. After reading through the comments I could've sworn my engine bay matched the Iconic Silver exterior but alas... it's an odd semi-metallic white.
