I was sitting down thinking about all the new Fords I've purchased over recent years and was shocked when I put them on paper. I could go back another 15 years and have 10+ more.

What's sad is Ford has never sent me any special offers that I can recall yet I've spent $800k give or take on new cars.

What's even more sad is I was able to purchase these either at invoice or thousands under sticker (plus rebates on some) except the 2016 GT350 ...that was the only one I paid $3000 over.

I have been attempting to upgrade my 2020 F250 Lariat Tremor however every dealer in a 300 mile radius wants thousands over sticker. I looked at a badass 2021 Raptor 2 days ago locally that was $20k over sticker.
Obviously I don't keep my cars long but the loyalty to Ford is clear . Pretty sad Ford has done nothing to keep my business however I guess based on my purchase history can't blame them.

The supply and demand BS is a brilliant business model we all have swallowed over the years allowing dealers to either charge more in times we are in today or killing values when inventory is high yet idiots like me keep buying!!!

Yea, I own it..... but I'm done with it! My question to Ford: What is your plan to keep me as a loyal customer moving forward?

I've kept most of the window stickers as keepsakes...

Market sets the price. Scarce resources are more valuable.

Some dealers are playing the short game and some are playing the long. Will the consumer have a memory?

If people will stop paying rediculous “market adjustments” they will go away

The only way to fight back is getting people to stop paying dealer markups. Ford has been trying to control it by pressing dealers and even going as far as making buyers of hyper exclusive cars (GT 500) sign a contract to prevent “flipping” cars. But the way the system is set, from what I understand, is that dealers buy the car, they own it and can sell it however they want. Either we take away the right of an owner to sell his ware as he sees fit or we simply don’t support scalpers. I hate big government, I hate the idea of someone telling me what I can do with my property. I also refuse to support inflated value and scalping. The free market should ween out the less than honest but here we are in a “shortage” with dealers driving up prices because they can. Same as the housing market right now. People are buying houses as is for 20k over asking. That’s not a bank issue, that’s a people issue. The mark up is not a ford issue, it’s a people issue. Supply and demand, what’s it worth to you?

I have access to a 22 Raptor at MSRP but do not need that much of a truck. I am good with saving 10k as what is the reality I will literally jump it?

Better to have and not need than need and not have!

Depending on the spec you're looking for, there's a local dealership to us with one. Even comes with one of our inlays pre-installed ;) We saw the truck in person and it doesn't look like they're doing any markups (don't quote me on it though, and don't quote me that it'll still be there tomorrow). Link in case you're interested!

No offense meant but I paid less than that for a fully loaded 402a package Tremor. Based on what I was seeing that's just a 400a. That truck should be around 52k.

It’s a 402. You can see the window sticker. It’s got pretty much every option.

When I tried I couldn't see the window sticker, looking through the stuff it looked like a base model on the description, so I stand corrected if it's not. I tried to get the window sticker to pull up 4 times and it won't for me.

I’m guessing it’s actually already sold because it was a custom order truck. Either that or the person who ordered it decided not to take it.

Ok I see the difference between that and my truck is the blue cruise mine has the assist not the active, but I also have the 2k onboard generator. I paid 66k for mine but I got a friend's and family discount, so I guess that price is close to being fair.

The supply disruptions are leading to the massive dealer markups, and like you i would refuse to ever pay one. Either they sell me a truck at or below MSRP or i walk no questions asked.

The supply chain disruptions will eventually ease (could easily take take 2-3 more years though, who knows) but vehicle price inflation is probably here to stay due to the trade war with china, insane government spending, and unrealistic CAFE standards.

People have no idea but this chip shortage is just a precursor to a much larger and devastating battery storage as everyone is forced to make EVs. That $60k tesla is going to be a bargain over the next 5 years, prices could easily double when the battery crunch hits full swing. For some reason Dems believe batteries just magically appear and don't require massive pillaging of the environment securing and extracting cobalt, lithium, etc in the poorest countries on earth. Every auto manufacturer will need to fight tooth and nail to secure these minerals and battery production sending the price of EVs into the stratosphere.

The prices you see on vehicles now might seem crazy but it is just the beginning.

If you keep getting such low prices on your new Fords then why should Ford even want to keep you as a customer? Let alone do something extra to keep you.

But to keep customers in general, all they have to do is make a vehicle that you want more than the competition

Yeah, I wonder about Ford and my future business with them as well. Especially after they welched on the $2500 coupon they sent me and which I tried to use to buy my Tremor. Clearly written as applicable, no exclusions, but dealer couldn’t apply it to the deal…and Ford wouldn’t explain why. Still trying via the dealer and a Ford case complaint. But dealing with corporate is like engaging a bunch of moronic monkeys.

I agree I had a $2000 off coupon from FORD its said "excluded Raptor' but not Tremor Dealer said I could noy use it for Tremor, nobody at corporate seems to be able to help. They say that I need to talk to dealer, the dealer says talk to corporate. Really poor service

I'm somewhat bothered by the Tremor being excluded from all the deals and financing incentives. It's just another trim, like Lariat or king ranch. It's not a raptor, it's not allocation blocked. Not sure why they are treating it that way.
