I just got off the phone with the guys at FM to discuss going the King/SPC route for my truck.

He mentioned he has fitted several Tremors and mentioned there is no difference in the control arms or knuckles than a regular 2021 F150. If that's the case, we don't need to screw around waiting for Tremor specific stuff. I'll let you guys decide if he's mistaken/FoS or if Ford marketing pulled a fast one.

Wonder if the way they connect is the same but possibly a little longer knuckle? I don't think Ford would make up the unique knuckle, but .....

Really hard to say. Ford isn't keen on accuracy and if their communication with the public is any indication, they may communicate just as poorly internally, too.

I think the easiest way to find out would be to see if the same parts have different part numbers. May not be 100% accurate, but could be a solid indication that they are different/the same.

If we could find the tremor part numbers that weren't generic

Well that would certainly be frustrating if Ford advertised "unique" parts as well as additional suspension travel for the Tremor to only give us the normal parts out of their bin.

I'm personally going to hold out for Fox/Ford Performance to release some more information on Tremor specific parts hopefully in the next few months.

Yeah, It seems Ford has a real opportunity to clean up some of their processes. I do think that the shocks are unique but hearing a parts house state they are the same parts takes me past frustrated and into pissed. I would expect to receive exactly what I was sold regardless of what I choose to do with my purchase.

Ford still says that we're special for their 2022 update

It looks like the Tremor does measure about 1" higher in the front and 2" higher in the rear than FX4 packages. At least based on what is posted on the forums.\

But the Tremor has about a 1" bigger tire than the FX4 so that's .5" of the difference right there.

It's exactly this why I said, decide for yourself. It's confusing to me and that is a standard state of being after Ford's fragmented information.

Having put fox 2.0s in a 2021 XLT-FX4 and 2021 tremor now, I could not find any difference other than the strut’s part number and the tremor decals. I did not have both trucks at the same time to directly compare/measure everything but visually there was no difference and the 2.0s fit and ride great on both trucks (after breaking them in, Fox stuff is really stiff for a couple hundred miles when new)

So if I wanted to level the truck, but still retain full articulation and use, this would be the way to go?

@Vicking47 - did a Ford tech/dealership do the install?

Are these pictures the FX4 or the Tremor? I'm guessing the Tremor with that tread pattern but there appears to be a couple differences between the sway bar link and the LCA (kind of hard to tell in the second picture*). The spring on that coilover looks to be the same as the Eibach springs but the shock body/leg looks to be a bit longer than the Eibach. I'll get back to it, today to try to get similar angles. Cable hangers?

I’m running the 2.5” pro comp level with no problems whatsoever. Installer said truck aligned perfectly and it drives and rides great

If you ever get a chance, would you mind taking a front measurement from the center of the hub to the fender lip at full droop, please? with what I saw this weekend, it looks like the LCA is binding and would prevent full droop for the shocks.

Truck is actually getting paint correction and ceramic coated so it’ll be a few days before I get it back lol

I may never get my Tremor, but can you guys answer this for me please. I want a true 4” of lift and 35’s. Is the lift actually in the strut length, shock bucket or a puck. If i buy a 4” BDS will it net me 3” of lift over stock? If people are installing a 2.5” puck with no problems the UCA would have to be different. That would be 3.5” of total lift. I had a 15’ F150 i did the Ready Lift SST 3.5” in think in the front, 1” in the rear and it had new UCA’s. Rode like total garbage. Don’t want to make that mistake again. Thanks

I think there is still a lot that nobody actually knows. To your point, I'm guessing a 2.5" puck lift kit is about 1.5" of a puck. The limiting factor of that setup should be either contact (springs and control arms, steering or axle) or the motion of the LCA (overall droop limitation)

As I understand it, most lift kits regardless if they are puck, collar or coilover are about keeping within the designed limitation of the truck's geometry. I think for F150s, that's generally a 3" lift wheel-to-fender. As you go past that, you need to add things like relocation spacers and lowering mounts. So the BDS lift does a lot of relocation work. If their 4" lift only gives 3" of lift max, the I would think the 6" kit would be able to be adjusted down to that "true" 4" lift.

Call the guys at Town and Country Customs in Alabama (Bessimer?) . They've had a tremor or two in and could probably speak to it.
