I’m upgrading my suspension with halo lifts 2.5 coilovers for a level and am wanting to upgrade the wheels and tires as well since the generals are almost completely worn out.
Does anyone have experience running the ICON uca’s with 18x9 +6mm offset? That’s what ICON’s website recommends but it seems like the wheels and tires would poke out more than I’d like. So I was looking at +20 offset or something with less poke that could still clear the UCA and not rub.

The tires I’m looking at are either Toyo AT3 in 295/70 18 or 285/75 18

This would be the first time I make any mods for any vehicle so all input and pictures appreciated.

Great timing. I had Icon S3 with the billet UCA installed last week along with 18x9 +6mm wheels and Wldpeak AT4w in 295/70. The tires measure larger than Toyo at 34.3x12.2. I tried fitting the 35x11.5 (34.9x11.9 measured) however there was rub from turning the wheel while stationary. There is a little poke however it clears the UCA with plenty of room. I can get you some pics today of the poke from both the front and rear if you like.

😂…Poke from the front and rear?
I couldn’t resist.

if you are getting the halo kit, why not just go with the spc uca's that they sell with the kit? what is driving you to the icon uca's? just curious

Same question. I have the SPCs now and they're good. Only going to install the icons because I switched to their suspension.

That’s good to know! Yeah I’d love to see pics

Any reason why you’re switching to ICON suspension? I was originally going for the SPC’s but I’ve since been rethinking it since it seems the icons would be better for my use

Here you go, if you want other pics let me know.

I already put almost 40k miles on the SPCs and RC suspension. The RC fronts are pretty shit but they were the first ones out for the tremor and cheap. I've worn them out and Icon runs the most complete one company package with cdcv, and they're rebuildable. Plus the leaf pack replaces my traction bars and fixes my wheel hop. My vertex rears were great, but since I'm getting the rest of the icon set I'm just gonna swap the reaes to icon too.

Side note, I love that they match the tremor lol.

Did you do it with the leafs or without?

Thanks for all the advise on your setup, I ended up with the Stage 4 and you were right about everything we spoke about
What are your initial thoughts? What size wheels/offset and size tires?

325/70/17 BFG KO3's For me this is always the tire I have loved but better and still no complaints aside from the cost
Wheels were 17 x 9 with 6mm offset (the guy at what used to be 4WP told me Icon showed that as a 0mm offset wheel which ended up being wrong)

Perfect amount of pooch out of the side without being overbearing

It def stiffens the ride but not necessarily in a bad way. Took the boat feel out of the cornering.

Minor trimming, like a silver dollar size on the rear

After spending that much money, I would do it again in a heart beat although at this point my wallet couldn't take it.

Oh and towed my Offgrid trailer (~3k lbs) and towed it like a dream. Maybe .5 inch of squat with shocks set on softest ride

@Escape Hatch what do you have your front springs set on height wise?
I have then set at factory from Icon. I am sitting at 41 inches from ground to arch, that includes the half inch additional height from the 34.3 inch tires. The rear end sits at 42 inches with my rack and tent giving me an inch of rake.

Are you experiencing rubbing? I think you set yours to 2.75 inch?

Not rubbing just a little stiffer than I would have thought. Didnt know if bringing them down a bit would soften the front rebound
