What's new

If your Livernois tuned Tremor feels slower lately, it probably isn't your imagination.

Well, isn't that interesting... good thing mine hasn't updated since 9/2022.
The Dealer did the TCM reprogram for shutter though before I tuned.

Maybe turn off the OTA Updates to be safe? I could careless about the full screen carplay at this point....

Those cheeky bastards! Time to look at ways to physically disable the OTA…

I would think livernois would provide a refreshed tune for you, but you can disable ota thru your sync and thru Ford pass as well I think.

Dam it. I just turned my OTA off. I tried to turn off via Ford Pass but I don't think you are able to. Went into the Truck and believe I was able to turn it off there. Now Ford Pass is showing it is off now. I had it on Automatic updates but did not set dates and time so not sure if that had anything to do with it. I do have Vehicle Hot spot / internet connection through the truck so don't know if those effects anything in terms of the OTA. Ford Pass in software updates showing Recent Changes Jun. 30, 2022 so assuming that was the last update? Dam all this technology. Hopefully the recent updates didn't screw up my recent Livernois added tune. Truck still felt just as quick today as when I first installed 😆. Hopefully I am in the clear. Thanks for the heads up @ PaulBlartMallCrawler

Interesting. I just checked and i have that same update. Wondering what to do here.

I would also think livernois would just provide a tune update overwriting whatever Ford did.

How can you tell what updates you have? I agree. I believe Livernois would just provide a Tune update and shouldn't be a problem. I don't want to mess with the Livernois Tune too much going back and forth but I do want the truck to be updated assuming that would be best outside the Livernois Tune.

Plug in your my calibrator and try hitting return to stock. If you see this then I think it's proof positive the Ford gremlins have meddled with it.

I assume once they send the new tune it will be like flashing for the first time where we save the current OTA tune as our new stock one.
Ah yeah. So we would save a new stock file and fill out a new form and send it for a new tune?

Oh fuck.

Yeah probably. I sent them my strat ID code but didn't upload it. Hope they already have a copy of it 🤣
I was just thinking about it and you can't save a new stock file if you have the tune loaded lol. I hope i saved my stock file somewhere.

I think they have a backup of your stock tune on file. As I couldn’t revert mine back to stock using return to stock function and they then loaded my stock tune into the regular tune file area to revert back to stock.

Update: got my new tunes last night and immediately ran outside to flash it, all went smoothly except the part where I ran over some plywood the siding contractor left in my driveway 🤣

Hope the plywood was ok, that crap is getting expensive.😁

With my 2018 platinum, I always took the tune out when I brought the truck to a dealer that way if they re-flashed it, I could always revert to my tune. With the over the air updates that sure puts a monkey wrench in that plan.

Did you just fill out a new form and send it in?

NGL the truck drives like chit compared to the tune being on. I haven't redone mine yet because I have a dealer service appointment this week (25k miles) so it's better the tune is off. I didn't turn it back to stock last time I went and no one mentioned anything.

The warranty ends soon anyways, not what it used to be. My GTI had one of the last good warranties in 2018 at 72k.

As soon as I get the truck back this weekend I'm going to retune it - I'm sending the new form tomorrow to have it ready.
