Ignition Signal

So I finally connected the rest of my lights/canopy power and relized I still haven't put an ignition sensitive relay for the 12V feed to the canopy. So that leaves me trying to find the best "ignition signal". Ideally, I'll only send power to the back when the truck is actually running (vs "on"). Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
I'm going to leave the 100A fuse and will put the relay next to it in the engine bay. I'll also be leaving my 60A circuit breaker in the bed after my compressor. It makes for an easy disconnect for removing the camper.

Do you have a heated steering wheel? If not, you can use that fuse. It’s a 20a in the BCM fuse block inside at the passenger kick panel, very bottom row. It is a run/start circuit…..at least it is on XL trucks.

There are a couple run/start fuses under the hood that might be available as well. Let me look into it today and see what I can find.

Fuse 100 in the under hood fuse block. It’s for a diesel particulate heater. That should be a run start circuit .

Unless I'm missing something, one fuse box is not like the other.

Ok. That is odd. LOL

here is the fuse block under the hood and all the circuits. You may not have all the fuses, or the wiring, but since you’re just tripping a relay, you can use a fuse tap on an existing fused circuit.
