IOS Update 15 - CarPlay Map Color Improvement

I’ve found the best look for the Sync 4 is dark mode — it gives the UI a nice deep blue. This also means CarPlay will default to dark mode. IOS 15 really improved the CarPlay map in dark mode.

I'm updating tonight so will try it out tomorrow. I've always thought the carplay brightness was too much at night.

Often the notification to dim based on headlight status happens before CarPlay API is ready to take the dim request. I work around it by either turning off and then back on the headlights or by toggling the brightness switches.
