Hi there! I'm new to this forum and there might already be a thread about this, my apologies if so.

I just put a 2" Autospring level on my truck and I wanted to know if GY Duratrac RT 285/75r18 tires (essentially 35s) will now fit without rubbing?

Any firsthand experience or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Yes, they will fit. Offset is more important here than the height of the tire itself.

A 285/75 is essentially a 35x11.5. People typically see rubbing on a wide and tall tire, since you are eliminating the width factor, you just need to worry about clearing the tire (which a 2” level will accomplish).

A factory tremor wheel should accommodate a 285/75 without rubbing, but even if you got aftermarket wheels with a slightly more negative offset, you’ll be in an even better position. An 8-10mm spacer will also do this.

You maybe able to fit 285's on 18's. but they are tall.

I have a 2.5" AS level and just put on Raptor Wheels, 285/75r17 ( 34x11.5 ) basically. Seems to fit perfect, ride great and not as heavy as a 35"

Appreciate the advice, thank you! I think I will try them with no spacers and see how it goes. If I need to add them, I can.

Those wheels/tires look great! 👌

Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

Can you take a picture with a view down the side of the truck?

Quick question: do you buy extended lug nuts when you add spacers? I'm seeing some come with them, some don't. Are they necessary with10mm spacer? Thanks

The limiting factor here would be the length of the hub threads, not the lug nut itself. Standard lug nuts will be fine.

If you don’t have enough thread to mount a wheel and tighten lugs you did it wrong.

I ordered the tires, will post pics when they are mounted. Thanks for all the info!

Yep let us know bc I'm debating a 2" vs 2.7" just to fit those same size tires

Happy to report the tires fit perfectly with NO RUBBING! 👌

In summary for others out there I did:

2" Autospring level, which left just over 1" rake. Looks pretty much level to the naked eye.

Installed 285/75r18 Goodyear Duratrac RT to my stock 18" rims and they fit great. No issues and the ride still feels like stock.

Thanks again to all who responded to this thread, I appreciate the info! I was nervous about spending $1800 on tires, only to have them cause unneeded problems.

Keep us updated on the Duratrac RT's and your opinions on those.

Defintely looks good! Almost went that route too. I just couldn't pass up the deal I got on the Raptor Wheels. Less expensive, lighter tire. With the 17's I got tires for $310 each installed cost. I suspect the Duratracs will hold up well too. fingers crossed on the Milestar/Patagonia's I got. I have Duratracs(original one's) on my Jeep and they are not bad, just HUM..

Yes, that’s definitely a lot of coin for 4 tires.
