Anybody found any tricks to keeping their running boards looking clean? Mine seem to retain dirt even after car wash when the water completely dries…

Does it need to be scrubbed?

Here is pic after I installed the scuff pads under door sills. I just ran through the wash earlier today.

That’s why I don’t want to install those scuff guards! I don’t think they’ll ever stay clean! They do look really sharp on that silver though!

Ahhh, guess I should get the glasses out! Still looks really good though

Simple green and stiff bristle brush works descent if washing at home

Where'd you order those scuff pads/sills from? I took a quick look on Google and didn't see them. Thanks!

Were they easy to install without getting air pockets or bubbles?

What about putting 303 on them?

I have the same scuff guards. Going on now along with black F-150 decals with orange outline on the tailgate. Will post pics when done in a few days. All part of my tint/PPF/decals/ceramic coating operation going on. Pretty excited for the look. Have tonneau and wheel well liners going on after the truck gets back to me. Doing that stuff myself.

Please post pics of your tailgate decal when you finish. What color is your truck?

Antimatter Blue.

Use this stuff exclusively on my boat!

Been looking for some scuff guards unsuccessfully until seeing yours….. thanks a lot….. a benefit to this forum…… on the running boards….. I use the same brush I use on my rims and tires…… it is so porous the wash mit just gets worn out….. thanks again, just ordered scuff guards 33 bucks including shipping!!!

These are the scuff guards I got, they make a front and back. I liked that the letters weren't cut out because I figured a scuff guard with cutouts in it kind of defeated the purpose. Few color options too, I got it with the white F150 lettering to match my Oxford white somewhat. I do wish they had a Tremor print on them instead but I compromised for the no cutouts.
