Larger Tire On The Spare

I was wondering if anyone has put a larger tire on the spare under the truck bed. I was wanting to keep the stock wheels and put on 295/70R18 (34.29”/11.77”) and would also like to put that tire on the spare but I was worried that it might not fit due to the new dual exhaust. I’m still waiting on my Tremor or else I would crawl down there and check. TIA

I was wondering the exact same thing. I have 4 Baja Boss A/T305/70R18. Guy was only willing to buy 4 of my stock Grabber ATX’s but I’m also curious there on what the limit is that can fit underneath.

It’s been cold here but no excuse for me to not crawl under there and see what can fit.

I’ve wondered this as well. The clearance of the leaf spring mounts appears to be biggest concern.

I think your size here the 34.29" will work, it will be tight but should work, any hopes of getting a true 35" though are not going to be good.

How do you like the Baja Boss ATs? I’m seriously considering them in the same size.

I have read statements from others that have successfully put 35s underneath. I haven't tried it myself, yet and "35s" could be anywhere from 34.5" to 35.08" (with what I have, here). Unless "she who controls my schedule" has other ideas, I'm scheduled to get my 35X12.5 G003 mounted this week and I'll check once that's done.

Seems like it would make sense for Ford to design every truck with the ability to hold a 35" spare, but what do I know.

Some of the Raptor guys are able to get 37's underneath by leaving the tire partially deflated. Even if a fully filled 35 won't fit, that could be an option.
