Those that have done a level, yet kept the stock wheels and tires...Did you see any drop in mpg?

I'm getting terrible mpg now, and due to the times, thinking about holding off on the level to try and squeak out every mpg I can. Thoughts?

Maybe marginal, in the not noticeable category I’d say. Driving habits are a way bigger factor in the big picture. And technically I guess I had studded winters on so not an exact scientific test

When you say terrible gas mileage, what is your mpg, and what type of driving are you doing(city/hwy) and how many miles so far.

The reason I ask is mine started off around 12-13 mpg but by the first 1k or so it had increased to near 17mpg combined, on the hwy at 75mph it gets around 21 mpg if I stay consistent. The level will drop you maybe .5-1 mpg if the tires and wheels are left the same.

That’s good news. I’m getting 10-11but I’m under 300 miles and I’m in a one stoplight town. BUT Ive always drove like a grandpa

I promise it will improve as your mileage goes up. I don't drive like a grandpa and right now at 9k with about 400 miles of that towing a 4500 lb trailer I have a combined 17.0 mpg. That's running 93 octane.

The first 1k the computer is figuring out things so you will definitely improve your mpg. Just like if you have to unhook the battery for an extended time, your mpg will probably go back down till the computer figures things out again.

It may also be worth a trip to a dealer. Unless your town has an elevation profile like my back yard.

@Yeti not everyone has a playground on their backyard. I think we are fortunate to have that.

Could do it as a meet up instructional before heading to windrock or some place, like a weekend event.

Lol, it's not all that but it's certainly fun.

Curious as to what MPG's everyone is seeing with a level and 35's (or metric tires close to that). Any takers??? I've heard 13MPG and that seems a bit low. I could get 16-17 avg in my '15 with 34.5" tires.

I'm getting right around 15 with as2.5 and the 295/70/18 Baja boss which are 34.6 iirc. That's daily including bumper to bumper traffic.

If Miami traffic wasn't aids, I'd probably get 16-17.

That’s more in line with what I was thinking.

PS - I’ll be joining the white tremor crew within two weeks.

For the record, I don't have a level and am running bone stock but I figured I'd offer my numbers for reference. I have just over 7000 Miles on my truck and finally just broke 16mpg average this past weekend. I do live at about 7000 feet above sea level and its rather hilly up here but I don't drive aggressively and have not been using eco mode. This is also with no towing.

Can’t some of you start lying and tell me you get 21.5mpg avg pulling a trailer uphill in 6” of snow?

I did 75 miles today, some congestion, some bumper to bumper, some off highway, some highway with blue cruise, some highway without blue cruise (me actually driving, I know it's crazy, seems weird now driving on the expressway myself like a peasant)... Eco and normal mode combination, not particularly being careful with the accelerator, but not particularly driving hard either.

Finished off at 15.3mpg over the 75 miles - with the as2.5 and 295/70/18 ATs, 93 octane.

I'm between the roush and the AFE intake, but I've read a cold air increases the MPG

Have you gotten Speedo recalibrated? I would think that would affect the calculations.
The real test is manually doing the calculations. I’ve always found the on board computer to be generous in the mpg department.

I haven't. The device is $500.

I know there's a way on forscan, but I read that it doesn't work on 21+, so not sure.
