Lift with 17s?

Like the title says, I'm just looking to see if anyome knows of a 6+ inch lift that works with 17" wheels. I'd be ok with like 4" too i guess if not, but it's this or raptor swap the suspension I think.

Educate me. Why wouldn’t 17s, a smaller wheel than stock, work with a 6” lift? Serious question.

So, due to cv angles, most larger lifts require you to "drop your dif", which is usually just a bracket that lowers it. These lifts then use larger knuckles to make up for that. Because of the larger knuckles they require larger wheels for that clearance.

6" wheel spacers . Raptor swaps are way cool if you can find the parts on a bargain. Or go full mid travel. But at that point "You should have bought a Raptor".

The big kits also keep the tie rods at stock or close to stock angles. The smaller wheels usually rub on the new knuckle because the tie rod location is moved up in the wheel. Instead of being at 3 and 9 o'clock. the most open portion of the wheel. They might me at 10 and 2 or 11 and 1 o'clock. If that makes sense.

Yeah I thought about a mid travel kit, there are a few out I'd entertain, but like you said I'm not sure it's worth it for this vehicle. Plus the extra width could be an issue on trails potentially, idk I've never used one. And finding parts is hard anymore for a decent price. I just definitely want more is my problem lol
