What cost should I expect for a spray in bed liner from line x, also if anyone knows cost of the line x under body spray that covers the rust? Thanks

Not familiar with line-x undercoating, but if it's a coating like their bed liner, I would caution against using it as an undercoating.

The watch-out is you don't want an underbody coating that will eventually crack and chip, allowing water to get between the coating and the underbody. This will create the very rust potential you're trying to avoid in the first place.

I haven't used it myself, but I've heard good things about Fluid Film if you want to go the underbody coating route.

Thanks, any idea on cost for bed liner or the fluid film?

I'd give your preferred Line-x supplier a call for an estimate.

Go to Amazon and type in Fluid Film in the search box and you'll find a variety of containers, quantities and their prices.

Here is a quote I received today for Line-X from a shop here in North Texas.

My quote in va was 480with my 20 off for being mil.

I had 3 different dealerships tell me they would not recommend underbody coating. The largest concern was overspray covering a sensor. They said beyond that, it wasn't needed. If you get it and there is a sensor issue, you will be on your own. So I was told... I love the LineX bedliner I have. It is very possible LineX will take proper care to avoid this but when a dealer won't push aftermarket addons they make $$$ on, there must be something to it. I'm no longer doing it and that's my 2 cents.

I've been told some LED grill lights I have been waiting on will finally be in stock by end of the week. Gong to add rear wheel wells, mudflaps and a few lights. I'll post some pics once I can finally get this done.

Hi, first you didnt say what vehicle you were trying to undercoat. You mentioned covering rust. Is this a different vehicle then a Tremor, which cannot or shouldnt be old enough to have rust already.
As for Line-X goes bedliners go, that all depends on where you plan on having that done. It is all privately owned Line-X authorized shops. Go to the Line-X website and look at the map. You didnt say where you are located so I cannot help you either. I had a shop on Long Island, NY quote me $799, I ended up at another shop in Northern NY who ended up doing it for me for $499. Very different as you can see.
Lastly, someone mentioned Fluidfilm here. I would only use that on an older vehicle that is rusted and that you are trying to save. If you are looking to do a newer vehicle that is not rusted or maybe slight surface rust then, look into a product called Waxoyl. That is a similar product to the Fluidfilm but is not as dense and dries more smooth without the mess.
Look it up, google is your friend as well as Youtube. There is a shop in Massachusets that does it and hes got extensive videos about it, as far as preparation and application for Waxoyl. I am planning on doing that to my 2021, which I should have done as soon as I bought it but it was snowing that day! ha.
Good luck.

I did the bed and undercoat for around $1000 at Line-X. The bed was just over $500 for the standard and the undercoating was another $500. With tax probably around $1100 or so. The undercoating is Valugard - both have a lifetime warranty.

Give them specific instructions on what not to put the undercoating on — skid plates, shocks, etc. They treated the axle rust then sprayed.

Looks good. Do you have a 402a - any sensor issues or anything you specifically knew to avoid sensor wise?

Yes, 402A. No sensor issues with undercarriage spray — The bed liner may require you to get a recalibration for the backup assist at the dealer. It’s hit and miss… The dealer will recalibrate it for you under warranty.

Did you end up getting the underbody protection? I’m looking to have mine done but want to talk to some people who have done it.
