Line X bedliner

For those who have gotten a Line-X spray in bedliner……
Did your installer do the tailgate?

My dealer had mine done but the installer didn’t do the tailgate…..seems odd, my old Raptor wasn’t that way.

I know most of the tailgate is covered with the black plastic work station but to me it looks unfinished without the workstation surround being sprayed.

What about OEM Ford spray in…..does ford do the tailgate?

I had dealer schedule and install line-x as part of the sale. My local installer did spray the tailgate, however I do not have the work surface.

I had my truck Rhino-lined, 402A it has the work surface and they sprayed the tailgate surrounding the work surface. They had to remove the plastic work surface and mask it off. They should have done that in my opinion, sounds like they were being lazy.

I also have the workstation & my lineX installer removed plastic pieces & did tailgate too… I couldn’t imagine them not doing it, workstation or not.

Dealer sent mine out to Pamalu. It is one of the places here in Honolulu that do the spray on liner. They did do my tailgate and I have the workstation. I believe they remove the tailgate and plastics to complete this but I know there may be an issue when they disconnect that wire. I think when that is done, it may make the truck throw that Back up assist not available error in dash when reversing. Mine still comes up periodically. There is a thread on that but I believe you can have Ford reset the software or something to get rid of it. Just not sure if they will charge for that.

I don’t have the workstation. Factory applied bed liner and the tailgate is sprayed.

Mine has factory bed liner, the work surface was removed and tailgate sprayed.

Same. Work surface removed, taped off, and tailgate sprayed. I would be concerned if they skipped spraying the tailgate.

Thanks all, dealer recognized the mistake and are gonna spray the tailgate.
