Anyone else have this issue. I’ll try to post a video but I started my truck after it sitting for an hour an it started making this extremely loud popping noise through the speakers a d I couldn’t get it to shut off. Had to drive directly to dealership and they had to disconnect the battery. They scanned it but I did t show any codes. They scheduled a software update for next week which they said can take a half a day. Any insight would be great.

Do you have the B&O unleashed? It's becoming a more common problem. Sometimes it's like that sometimes constant static at full volume. No ability to turn down or off, and no response from Ford. Several people have taken them to dealerships to be told the problem couldn't be replicated. Some people it's happened once over the course of a year. Some it's happened to multiple times over a short period. What seems to work for most people is switching the input to am/fm. Usually stops it and then it will function normally.

Here's the link to one of the threads being discussed on the GEN14 forums.

Their problem is slightly different than yours, but so was mine, sure seems to be the same problem manifesting itself differently.

Here's a thread I started

Yes I have the unleashed. It was crazy loud. Hopefully this never happens again

This just happened to me. 2022 Tremor. Crazy loud crackling (like you are caught in a hail storm) through all speakers, and it will not stop, even when the truck is off. Hard restart on the radio has no effect. I drove it straight to the dealership. Hopefully it doesn’t damage the speakers. That’s my main concern.

Has happened to me about 4 times since I got the truck back in Sept. Mine is an extremely loud pop/crackle but then luckily it stops after a couple seconds. I loose the sound for about 10 minutes and then it will come back. The dealer of course could not duplicate it. I think the speaker above my head is now crackling when listening to the radio so when it is in for an oil change next month I will have them look at it then.
That will teach me upgrading to the B&O unleashed....

I have recently been having the pops and static.....almost sounds like an old dial up modem on STEROIDS. It seems to happen when I apply the brakes or shifting into park. Very disconcerting....

This just happened to me today. Went to start truck. The loudest popping /static noise came from speakers. Adjusting the volume wouldn’t work. Sounded like the speaker blew. It went away after like 10 seconds but then there was no sound for a few minutes. Everything seemed to work ok after - aside from my hearing

2022, 402a with B&O upgrade. Truck just had over the air update the previous night and this is the first time happening.

I have exact same build......2022/402a

Mine magically fixed itself after one of the updates. Lasted around a week if I remember. Had to change my underwear a few times because it was LOUD......

Same sound issue, 2022 402A. My speakers sounded like I was driving through a massive sleet storm, but louder. Dealership said they had seen a few of the same problems and knew exactly what to do. I have the b&o unleashed. The tech folded down the back seat on the driver's side to access the amp. With the truck on, he pulled the green power plug to the amp, waited 5 seconds and plugged it back in. The sound went away and hasn't come back (it's only been a week though). I was hoping for a software update to fix the problem, but at least this is an easy fix that anyone can do if needed.

There is a supposed software update to fix this, but many haven't gotten it, even though it's been out since around June of last year. It is an OTA, and I will say the number of complaints have gone down on the other forums since. I went over a year without OTA's, but have gotten 9 in the last 2 months, so I'm hoping it's coming up.

I had a video recoding of the explosive sound, a pulsing loud static turned up to 20. The APIM module was replaced and it has not happened since. Dealership was able to diagnose basis a code (as I understand it). I too was concerned about damage to the speakers but there seemed to be no testing or inspection of the speakers performed. I have not been able to tell if any speakers were indeed damaged, no obvious distortion. Good to know about rebooting by pulling the green wire on the amp, I will go and see if I can find that wire just in case.

Only had this happen few years ago, and today freaked me out it was sooo loud. Had to dissconnect the battery to stop the static and popping. Crazy. I'll check codes and also see if there are any missing updates.

2021 with 45k miles.

Just happened for the first time. Loud popping / clicking sound out of the passenger side front pillar speaker. Even with the radio off. I was so mad at the stupid thing that I hit it hard. The sound stopped and hasn’t happened again in the past 2 weeks. Speaker still works. I’m not kidding
