Love the truck, hate the gold/orange accenting. Any solutions?

Considering a few different trucks for my next purchase, and currently looking at possibly a 401A or 402A level Tremor. Thing is, after seeing it in person I hate the accent color especially interior. I figure exterior is easy enough to fix, but what can I do about interior without katzkin or a complete rip out? Any solutions? A grey or flat black would be much preferable.

Thanks for ideas!

Personally, I think that would be really hard to get away from...its literally everywhere. All the stitching in the doors and steering wheel too. If you don't like it that much, I would go a different route. Don't get me wrong, I love my truck. Honestly, there isn't one out there I'd rather have or that i think is better for this price range, it performs exceptionally in all areas IMO. I am bias though, as I also love the accent color because it's not the same old boring black and/or red (opinion there) that's on every "special" trim level.

If you don't specifically need what it's built to offer, you will probably be happier elsewhere; sorry that's probably not what you wanted to hear. Without painting it, using covers, or ripping it out it's not going away lol.

Got it, that helps honestly. May not be what I want to hear but it helps haha.

I hate being the bearer of nad news.....but this^ is potentially a very good idea. They look very very similar (exactly the same hood for instance) and don't have the orange. Less truck, but it sounds kind of like you don't need all the tremor has anyway.

You might want to look into one of the new Black Appearance Packages on the 2022 F150’s.
Definitely just do a BAP Lariat with FX4. The orange is a staple of the truck, you will spend a lot of money and time to get rid of it, if you even can get rid of it all. Only thing you won't get is the Raptor transfer case and the torsen, which maybe you weren't getting on your tremor anyways if you didn't get a 402A or the optional torsen.

In your case, unless you specifically want the Hi-lock transfer case, get a BAP. Minus the T-case you get a Tremor without the orange. A Torsen and gears are far easier to add then stripping the Tremor of the orange.

Personally I just don’t like the orange stripe on the grill… will swap for the BAP grill, paint or an after market grill. Not sure yet. All the other orange I like.

Black vinyl would cover the orange stripe on the front, or a whole new grille altogether. I wasn't sure about the orange either until I got my truck and saw it in person. I love it now.

Raptor is far above what I need and want to spend. It also is far worse as a daily driver.
Worse as a daily driver? I disagree....no better daily or road trip vehicle than my Raptor.

The only reason to get a Tremor over a standard F150 with packages is the Torsen front end, Raptor transfer case and the Tremor accents. If you don't need the Torsen or transfer case, just get a different model. I used to think the suspension was a selling point, but I realize now that I'd change it all anyway. I've come to the realization that all Ford trucks are going to need a suspension replacement or at a minimum spring replacements to get what I want out of them.

Subbed for ideas. I can live with the orange accents but I’d delete them if it were possible within reason.

The only reason now, because BAP is available and it copies a lot of the tremor aesthetics you couldn't get before on a lariat or platinum. 6 months ago that wasn't an option, and it wasnt known it would copy all of that. Just saying.

That's fair, the BAP changed everything. And we already know from others that the Torsen can be added aftermarket. I've also read on other forums that the transfer case could be swapped too. So you could essentially get the BAP and turn it into a Tremor.

I like a warranty, otherwise a BAP Powerboost with Raptor Tcase swap and Torsen would be my perfect truck.

That sounds like a great setup, but agree on the warranty. My Raptor would have caused me to go broke if I didn't have a warranty on it. I hope my next Ford isn't as troublesome or I may have to go back to Toyota, and I haven't come to terms with a downgrade yet...lol.

I'm a long time toyota guy, have a Tacoma and 4Runner now, but don't care for the new Tundra. I'll keep the Tremor at least until the warranty runs out, then re-evaluate.

I wonder if Ford would warranty it if you had them do the installation?

Same...I really wanted to like the new Tundra, but it's not doing it for me right now. I also don't like how Toyota is doing the packages, the options aren't granular enough. I have loved my Tacomas, just wish Toyota would up the luxury a bit. They just need a Lexus version of both of their trucks.
