I am looking to replace my Grabbers. My truck is completely stock and not leveled. I have been wanting to try the Baja Bosses but they don't come in a 285/75 R18's. So I need to do a 295/70 or the stock 275/70. My question is will the 295/70's (34 x 12) fit on a stock truck?

Thanks!!

I don’t want to give a hard yes but I think so. With level only you can clear 35x12.5 no rub

I have the M/T Baja boss 295/70R17s on mine, also 34x12, on a +0 method 703. No rubbing, but I should have gone with the +25 offset wheels and fit a 315 or a 35.

If you’re on the stock wheel it should be fine though.

I was running 295/70/18 Nitto Recon Grappler with factory Tremor wheels , no lift. Only rub was on passenger side mudflap at full right turn. Just had to cut a bit off the inside of mudflap.

Pics?

These pictures are before I installed Eibach adjustable coilovers on the front to lift it 1.5". I should add that this is with the rear blocks replaced with shorter standard F150 4x4 blocks.

If those are 295/70/18 tires on stock TREMOR wheels, they look perfect to me.
Nice to see such a tire size that’s not sticking out several inches beyond the fenders.

Just going to point out that actual dimensions of the tires matter as they vary tire to tire. The 295 baja boss is wider and taller than the nittos by almost an inch both ways, it's basically a 35" tire. I doubt you fit it stock without rubbing. I have them, but with a level.

Typical NITTO exaggeration which has been their norm since the 90’s.
Very odd that their parent company TOYO would allow them to continue with this practice.

For those that are interested in said tire size as well as the proper wheel size and offset, take a look at this.
This is perfect.

I'd love to see some real life pics of the Baja Boss... I'm coming up to needing new tires and having a real hard time deciding based on just marketing pics. Nothing seems to have the real life 3d aggressive sidewall of the KO2/3....

This is the Baja Boss A/T. These have a decent-looking sidewall, I think, but I'm not familiar with the KO2/3 sidewall. Let me know if you would like a different angle or anything. Sorry they're so snowy... just got back from a bit of further snow testing.

Let’s see it with the lift :)

Here you go ! These Eibach coilovers are the best money I spent on my Tremor so far, install was easy, also improved the ride beyond my expectations and got rid of that ridiculous rake from the factory.

I have 295/70/R18 running Falken AT4 Wildpeaks, 0 rub. All stock, no lift, only dropped the rear with FX4 blocks.

Nice.
Let’s see some pics.

I absolutely love my MT Baja Boss AT’s! They are amazing tire! We have them on all of our vehicles!
The size should fit, you might rub a little.

I have a pair of 295/70R17 (34x12) M/T Baja Boss A/Ts Mounted on MR703 +0 offset, 2” level. I’m thinking I want to go to a 35 in the same tire, I love these.

I’ve got a few problems to think about:

1. Parking in my garage: yes, it fits, running very close to hitting the top pulling in.

2. Weight: My measly 295 (more like a 305 by the size) weighs 72lbs, it’s an E load, which is great for how I drive. I’d have to step down to a C or D load to offset the extra height of the tire to maintain performance.

3. Fitment: I don’t rub with these, but if I mount a 35 on this +0 wheel it will rub. I’d have to sell these and throw a +25 on I’m guessing.

4. Running chains: I do a lot of snow wheeling, adding chains almost guarantees I will rub and destroy my fender if I go any bigger. Also, a +25 offset wheel might help me fit a 35 but will bring the inner chain too close to the UCA.

What offset are you running, what tire size is this and do you have any rubbing when wheeling your truck?

Hi PNWTremor!

Offset is +18 and 35 x12.5 tire on the MR317 wheels. 2.5" (ish) lift... which came from Halo Lifts set at 2.5" but I adjusted to closer to 3", possibly, because of a bit of rub after the last alignment. These are also D load, which I don't like as much, but they've worked just fine so far, even heavily laden.

When properly aligned, these didn't rub at all. Right now the alignment is off (Firestone aligned it worse the second time and then I took it wheeling, which didn't help, but it didn't really rub much at all when wheeling) and now it rubs only when turned all the way and compressed, BUT, just a little bit on the edge of the wheel well liner. It doesn't touch the crash bars or anything else.

I need another alignment and we'll see how it goes at that point, but it didn't rub initially and I don't expect that it will again, if properly aligned (the alignment guys weren't familiar with the SPC upper control arms and how to properly set them, so I need to bring them the factory instructions for the next alignment. Not saying they don't know what they're doing or anything, but this isn't something that they're really used to, so I understand. The first alignment was done by a Ford master tech, so I think he was more aware of offroad setups.)

I think you're right that a 35 with +0 would rub, especially with chains, unless you increase the lift some? (Just as an aside, I do like Halo's Elka 2.5" coilovers and rear shocks, though I may need to upgrade them to a higher stage at some point just for some additional performance. For right now, they're just fine.)

I haven't actually tried putting this in a garage yet, but I don't think it'll fit in my garage. I should measure that, actually...
