Of course this holds true for any engine but for the 3.5 EB TREMOR owners, here’s something that you might be interested in. Not bad for 73K on the odometer.
As a new owner of a used Tremor, I am jumping to the 3-5K mile change rate. I have always been a synthetic Mobil 1 oil guy with excellent results and know that I don't want to continue with Ford Motorcraft Synthetic blend in my Tremor. I have never used AMSOIL but am considering it as I will be doing my own oil change from here on out. At 40k miles, I will be doing my first oil change, swap out the differential fluids and drop the Trasmission pan for new filter and fluid.Of course this holds true for any engine but for the 3.5 EB TREMOR owners, here’s something that you might be interested in. I use AMSOIL SS 5W30 in my 5.0 equipped TREMOR and I change the oil between 3K and 5K.As a new owner of a used Tremor, I am jumping to the 3-5K mile change rate. My wifes 2021 Lincoln Navigator has the H.O. 3.5L Ecoboost motor and had to have the cam phasers replaced at the 70k mile mark. It still falls under the ford maintenance plan as a part of the purchase price and came with provided oil changes at 10k miles. It is currently at 91k miles and burns nearly 3 quarts of the motorcraft oil prior to each change. They say this is normal...
That interval is ridididididiculous.
I think I will end up going that route. What's the best way to get that stuff ordered for a good price?I use AMSOIL SS 5W30 in my 5.0 equipped TREMOR and I change the oil between 3K and 5K.
I’m sure you’re aware of this but if not, AMSOIL SS oil isn’t
The best and cheapest way I know of is to go on the AMSOIL website and make an account.I think I will end up going that route. What's the best way to get that stuff ordered for a good price?
Mobil 1 has been extremly good to me over the years in my dirtbikes, my BMWr 1150R and other trucks I have owned. Plus you can find it just about anywhere. But I am willing to give AMSOIL a try if it will honestly maximize the life expectancy of this truck. I need to pick up one of those fumoto valve style drain plugs and change out that stupid diaper on the bottom of the truck to. What the heck was Ford thinking with that stupid thing?
$69 at the Ford dealer for synthetic blend oil change and tire rotation. Every 5k milesWhat’s the cost per oil change come out to for everyone’s various chosen options?
