Hello, I just scratched my rear bumper, and I want to know what is the paint that I should use for a touch up... mine came with matte black package bumpers (well not sure if they are matte black or carbon gray)

The best way to make sure you have the right colour is to call your dealership with the VIN number handy and they will be able to tell you the colour code of your bumpers and most likely will have the touchup paint on hand.

Definitely more than just a surface scratch.
The body shop at any Ford dealer should be able to give you the paint code.

I can’t find it within the Motorcraft catalog but it’s supposed to be Carbon Black. Third party results bring up a paint code of YZ-9A but I can’t cross check it with anything available from Ford.

If you have any success post back. I bought my truck lightly used that already had a scuff in the bumper that’s been bothering me. I’ve poked around a few times and can’t find Tremor specific paint info. It looks damn close to the same color as Raptor fenders and bumpers. I’m really curious if it’s actually the same. Here’s a good vid I found a while back touching up a Raptor fender where they’re using J7 magnetic metallic paint and a satin clear. I’ve been meaning to harass the dealership body shop for paint info but haven’t gotten around to it. Tempted to go backup to a Raptor at a local ford dealer to compare colors.

Since misery likes company here’s my bumper 😂

Perhaps Ford is keeping this paint code as well as the TREMOR orange code 100% in house just like the old Mystichrome color which can only be had through Ford.

Who knows.🤣

Possible 😁. I wonder though if it’s because of the satin/matte finish. If it was a simple paint pen and gloss clear it’d probably look like crap and they’d get loads of pissed customers when it sticks out like a sore thumb.

agree... they should have them available... specially for the bumpers, very common to have them scratched.
I just did a touch up using a regular black satin paint, as my scratch was on a side of the bumper, is not so visible... The color used is far away to be the same... but at least, much better than before.
