Has anyone had issues with a leak after installing this light? I’ve gone through a warranty replacement already. Seals are in good condition and the screws are not over tightened in the plastic clips. It’s a small leak but it still drives me insane, anyone have any solutions?

No leaks here. Cleaned the surface good and all that jazz I'd imagine?

Camera seal maybe? Trying to think if there was one around the lens.

I know it has that red gasket on the body of the camera, I don’t think that’s the issue but I guess I’m going to have to trial and error by spraying some water around the seal then on the camera to be certain. It doesn’t leak with every rain but when we get a torrential downpour that’s when I have issues.

Doesnt rain much here in So Cal to find out if it will leak or not. 🤞
I do remember thinking that the included gasket seems to be lightweight or foamlike vs rubbery or silicone.

Haven’t had any issues with mine either, had snow melt and some good downpours. I did watch it quite abit at first thinking the gasket wasn’t much as well.

No leaks on mine either, perhaps the gaskets are doubled up?

i didnt notice any leaks from mine while i had it installed. but i did notice when i removed it that it wasn't holding up to the sun very well.

I’ve had leaks on mine since first installing. Morimoto has gone downhill over past few years. Asked for a new gasket to fix and only got the gasket that goes to truck side no replacement for the light side itself. Regardless I cleaned very well, alcohol, then applied. It’s the design that sucks and they need better integration to use all four of factory screws with better gasket to seal.

Watched the install video and that was the reason I stuck with oem. Sorry to hear :(

Are you saying you used both gaskets during initial installation that were in the box?

I only used one gasket and stuck that on the light, I looked over the installation and it does not mention to use both gaskets.

Could that be the reason some are leaking and others are not?

maybe mispoke but the gasket doesn’t seal regardless. Think it’s really due to them eliminating the two center screws more than anything. It’s been 6ths since I installed and my pint is I wouldn’t do it again do to it having leaking problems. Buy at your own risk;).

I have one and haven't had any issues. And I've had snow and downpours (cuz Colorado) and I use a power washer to wash my truck. I also only used one gasket. I'm taking mine off soon because I'm getting a topper and I think it sticks out too far and may hit it. I also have their taillights and haven't had an issue. I did get the license plate lightbar and it failed 8 months in but they were VERY quick to replace it. Great customer service.

No water leaks but the clear coat has failed in under 10 months from installation

Yup I would be sending that baby back!! Awful. Morimoto will hopefully back there product... I wonder if a clear UV PPF would have prevented this?

It doesn't have one of those plastic adhesive protectors on it, does it? It looks a bit like that at the far end. You know when you buy a new piece of electronics, there is a film or plastic that peels off.

Have had mine well over a year and it definitely does not look like that,my truck also lives outside.
