I have a weird issue. If I lock my dog in the truck, he sets off the Motion Sensor Alarm when he jumps into the driver's seat. I've gone to the Settings and have disabled the Motion Sensor Alarm, but it seems to reset to Active later. Haven't looked to see if it does this each time the truck is started or not. The other option is to enable "Ask on Exit" which allows you to choose if you want the Motion Sensor active when you shut the truck off. The problem is, I normally forget about that screen and get out of the truck without making a choice; the default is active Motion Sensors. When I do remember, the truck is off and locked, which requires me to get back in, start and stop the truck, and choose Off for the Motion Sensors.

I do not live someplace that requires an Alarm with Motion Sensors. I'd love to be able to turn the Motion Sensors off and have them stay that way until I decide I might need them. Any thoughts?

The same thing has been happening to me. I deactivated the motion sensors but they seem to come back on randomly which causes the alarm to go off again with my dog in the truck.
Somewhat related - I swear the motion sensors were making my alarm go off when I was in my camper parked about 5' away from the truck also.

My dash settings seem to have a mind of their own as well. That randomly I'll loose my boost gauge and it will reset to the oil pressure gauge, radio stations change, and seat/mirror memory changes. Which makes me think this is something resetting the whole truck back to default. Possibly tied to over the air updates?

Cover them in tape

Me too .. I changed some setting and it asks me when i get out of truck to enable or disable. My dog barely moves and sets them off …

As long as roaming packs of these guys don't try and break in where you live, you should be OK.

I had to get used to deactivating it when exiting the vehicle on my last truck. Assumed this one was the same. I didn't know there was an option to disable all the time.

Check forscan, might be able to disable it with it.

Me I leave the truck running and just take the keys, without the keys you can't take it out of park, trust me I've tried.

Interesting. When it is hot out, I use the keypad to lock the keys in the truck with it running so my dog can hang in the AC while I run errands. Obviously the alarm doesn't go off because it is not set.

I guess I'm going to have to invest in forscan, particularly for the glare-free lighting option.
