Hey all, seems like a big question always:
“What will upgrading to 35s do to my MPG?!”
(Especially now that gas is insane)

Wanted to share my experience as I documented my first 900+ miles MPG vs the next 900+ miles after installing the Rough Country coilover level and upgrading to 35x12.50r20 tires

Stock = 16.5 MPG
35s = 13.8 MPG

So a pretty big difference vs some guys claiming it’s only a 1+/- difference. Would I do it again, ABSOLUTELY, as the truck looks bad ass :)

But wanted to share with the forum for those who are considering the pros/cons. Also added some pics of my truck parked next to a stock Tremor to compare the stance difference and see exactly how big of a change the tire/wheel/level makes.

Thanks and hope this helps anyone!

Good data, but your street cred per gallon increased by 10 mpg’s with your set up so you’re way ahead 👍, thanks for sharing.

What is the weight difference from the factory wheel/tire and your new setup? Getting ultra light wheels and a light tire could change the results. How much was highway vs city? Getting them going from the stop is the problem, once they are going it won't make much difference.

Wow, that's a larger difference than I would have expected. But one thing to note, assuming you didn't recalibrate your speedo you should actually correct the 35" MPG by +5%. (627 vs 597 Revs per mile) which puts you at 14.5, only a 2 mpg drop.

That said, I agree with @RotorHead695 that weight, or more specifically rotational mass is at least as large a contributing factor as diameter.

Spoken like a true engineer.

Thanks for the valuable information! BTW... That truck of yours is gorgeous! Looking forward to a similar setup when my truck eventually gets delivered.

Thanks everyone, and Bannerman, you are correct about the true mileage driven since speedometer wasn’t adjusted.

I can def live with the 2 mpg drop to get the look I wanted

Thanks again and good luck everyone with their builds!

Does every Tremor F150 have the same Gears and engine or do US vs Canadian or Mexico models vary.

3.73 and 3.5 Ecoboost?

As far as other trim levels Campare the tremor has the best option for running 35s and Mai tiny half way decent fuel economy.

All F150 Tremors have the same gearing and engine.
