I purchased my 2022 402a last year with the intent of putting a truck cap and roof top tent on the bed. After hours upon hours of research, I found a new company called "Tiny Rig Co" in Westminister, CA the sells Alu-Cab products. I purchased the Alu-Cab Canopy Cabin for the full size pickup truck and had to wait almost 9 months to get it. Why is it that it no one makes quality aftermarket products for our trucks? Everything is for a Toyota. Anyway, I learned that my truck would be the first F-150 in the US to have this camper. I'm so glad I jumped all in on this. it's AMAZING!

I'll continue to throw pics up as I build her out. Here's what I've done so far and I'm building it myself.

Looks awesome! Would love to have that setup! Please share more about the suspension. how much does that weigh total? Is the tent up top big enough for two adults and two kids? Doubt that Ali Cabin would be in the budget anyway, but I can dream.

I still have the stock suspension and only upgraded the rear shocks with the ICON F150 4WD REAR 2.5 VS PB CDCV. It rides fine but I'm thinking about upgrading my rear springs with some from Deaver. The tent is basically 9' long and fits 2 adults with a little room to spare. You could squeeze a small kid up there with you but not two unless you stack them between the two of you. I'm actually building a removable platform for the lower section where someone else can sleep. Dry factory weight is just under 500 lbs. I think once I have everything installed it will probably be around 800-900 lbs.

Do you mind if I as what that camper set you back? It looks awesome, does it have a stove in it? I noticed the exhaust stack on the back..

The hood deflector is OEM. I purchased it from the parts department at my local dealership. As far as the cost of the camper, the base camper runs around $12,500 give or take a little and then adds up for accessories. The exhaust stack on the back is for the Dickinson Marine Heater. Pretty bad ass heater.

I’d love to have this set up! It’s my dream. I’m curious what did it cost you?

The stock camper cost around $12,500.00, it just goes up from there as you build it out and add accessories.

You guys ever check ou Skinny Guy campers? You can still park in a 7ft garage and it has heat, a toilet etc ..

Very cool build. How did you secure the floor to the truck bed? And the Cabinet to the floor?

Looks like it's heavy, how much will it weigh?

Update - I’ve been busy with some upgrades before a big trip. I built a 60% rear seat delete and installed the ICON 2.5-3” Lift, Stage 5 Suspension System with Billet UCA.

Keep an eye out for cracks.😂

What's the Rack you have over the cab? I am looking at some models. I had the Sherpa in mind. Any feedback on the one you have, pros and cons? I am getting an Alu-Cab Contour Canopy installed at the end of the month from Tiny RIg. It's gonna replace my existing rack by Leitner.

The Icon stage 5 is a GREAT Choice. You are going to love it!

I would suggest the Icon Rear Springs and Shackles too. Especially with the Heavy set up on the rear.
