Hello, everyone wondering if the only navigation the 2022 Tremors come with use AT&T? Is their another source of navigation that was removed?

Not sure how to help here.

I’m not sure what the factory “connected” navigation uses to get data. Could be AT&T.

You of course can use google maps, Apple Maps, Waze, etc through CarPlay or android auto as well.

Chris, see attached picture. What I’m referring to is the -250.00 and -50.00 in the newer Tremor’s. My question was Ford utilizing this as part of their built in Navigation. Have a deposit on one now and salesman is not really clear on any of this. Do the older model 2022’s and 2021’s still work that don’t fave this feature removed… thanks. Trust me appreciate it. Anything else I should look out for would be appreciated. Coming from a 2012 Tundra that I bought new 10 years ago and things have dramatically changed.

At&t is the only carrier they use for their connected services, you can use goggle, waze or maps from iphone on your synch system for navigation if you don't wish to pay for your connected services, mine was free for 3 yrs, then I got a deal for $160 a year for the next 2 yrs, after that we'll see what I have to pay I guess.

Yeah you won’t have the “connected” feature but I would think the navigation should still work.

On the 401A, if siriusxm/connected nav is deleted, there is no built in navigation available. 402A has the connected built in navigation. So when the trial runs out, there is still built in navigation but no weather, traffic, map updates. The change was kind of confusing because it says 100A-501A, but 402A was excluded or considered on par with 502A and above trims.

Thanks, I can’t see tethering phone all the time for navigation on such an expensive truck. Can’t understand why they would not offer something else.

Shouldn’t have to, not sure about android but apple car play works wirelessly.

I just use apple car play. Pretty sad it's a subscription, but if people would stop paying for these silly things they would be forced to revert back. At least we don't need to subscribe for our heated seats like BMW..

Also if you paid the $2k up front for the Blue Cruise w/assisted driving, that requires the connected nav subscription. My truck was off the lot so I didn't choose it, but I have it and it's pretty sweet having it drive itself on the highway. I will miss this when my 3 year free connected subscription is up. I won't pay for that when I can just use Android Auto.

Honestly if you shop the deals and pay in advance you can find it fairly cheap, $160 a year is what I will be paying when mine runs out.

Forgive my ignorance, what do you mean shop the deals? Where would I find deals on a navigation subscription?

Never mind I got the whole connected package with unlimited data for wifi, just for the connected navigation it's $80 a month after the trial runs out, but the package I have covers all that as well.

My last 3 Fords have used AT&T modems. You can still have saved maps and a GPS receiver and not need cell service for good navigation. I know the connected apps give you live traffic, Alexa, streaming services and a lot more. You could still have the cellular modem and not have good navigation as the secret is the GPS receiver and antenna. Sat Radio does not need cell service. But not having a cellular modem would also kill the Ford Pass app. That would suck way more than loosing Nav as most people use Waze, Google or something better than the factory apps. So what is actually missing? The GPS and Sat radio antennas or receivers, both? Is it the cellular modem? Like I said, I would lose Nav any day over the ability to start my car from the other side of the planet.

Can you link?

But you still need your phone with with you to utilize navigation etc don’t you
?…thanks
You actually leave home without a phone these days?
