Near invoice dealership pricing around the Arizona region?

I reached out to several dealers on January 2022, here is what I was told for a retail order:

Earnhardt: No thanks, we don't want to use an allocation for a Tremor order
Sanderson: MSRP + mandatory package
Camelback: MSRP + mandatory package
Bell: MSRP + mandatory package
San Tan: Sales guy was terrible
Chapman: MSRP + mandatory package
Horne: MSRP + mandatory package

I went with Horne since their package we're items I actually wanted (tint + bed liner + a few other items). I would say salesman is okay, hasn't really been up to par on communication and also is trying to give me the run around on price protection. I will update this post as soon as I take delivery (hoping for this week).

Sanderson requires a package? I'm getting my Tremor there and have bought 13 other vehicles from them and they never required a package. In fact, they used to have a window sticker on the wall with side bars from other local dealers showing their add on's and saying not at Sanderson.

I'll have to get the name of the salesman I spoke to back in January (I have it written down somewhere), but yes, that's what I was told at that time. Things have changed a lot over the last 8 months so maybe that's not the case now, but that was my experience.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm working with Loren Clifton the new car manager and Daniel Higgins. My long time salesman Mike Gilbert is now sales manager at the Lincoln location. He got me a heck of a deal on an Aviator.

I asked my salesman about this and got the below reply.

As far as mandatory packages go? That’s an easy answer. We do not mandate any “packages” or add “market adjustments” to any new vehicle.

The price you will pay will be MSRP + Tax + 1 Year Registrstion + $499 Doc Fee

Horne tells me they are only AZ dealer that takes xplan on Tremor. It was good deal but their finance guy is super shady. I had my own financing at 2.9 but sales and finance told me I had use FMC to get xplan. That kind of made sense at the time but it was a total lie. They ended up giving me Capital One at 5% which was a big kickback loan for them. Just to spite them and prevent the kickback I refinanced with USAA two weeks later …

Thy also talk bad about the Ford maintenance plan and will try like crazy to sell you a third party plan.

My experience has been similar. Not the greatest at communicating or responding to my questions. The salesman seems annoyed at the few questions I have asked (~5 questions in 7 months). At this point, I'm 7 months in and almost at the finish line so I'm hoping to close this out. That being said, I don't know that I would recommend them or use them in the future.

Sanderson takes X plan, so they are indeed lying.

I don't recommend Horne after my experience. I would go with Tremor14s suggestion and go Sanderson.
Did you ever get your truck from them? Not sure if Ford reads their surveys but I ripped the finance guy … I can’t imagine Ford wants dealers telling people the Ford extended warranty is no good ..
I did get a check from Horne months later that said Ford Price Protection.. so I guess they over charged me too

Can anybody here recommend a sales rep for Sanderson? I have X-plan and can’t get a consistent answer as to whether dealers will honor X-plan for the Tremor.

I'm working with Loren Clifton. He's the new vehicle manager. He'll be able to answer your questions.
