Let me start by saying, I’m not very experienced in custom wheels/offsets or all the lingo that entails. So I might sound dumb or over complicated.

I got my 2021 Tremor and put a 2.5” leveling kit on it (professionally installed with alignment). Now I want to upgrade the stock 275/70R18 (33.2”) General Grabber ATX tires to some ~35” Nitto Recon Grapplers (I’d consider Ridge Grapplers or other AT tires like Toyo depending on size availability and prices but right now the Recons are my favorite) keeping the stock rims. I had assumed that the standard 35 tire size I would need would be 35x12.50 but reading other places some say the 12.50 might be too wide. And I haven’t seen anywhere else where someone has tried to do this on our trucks using the stock wheels (everybody seems to buy customs but I prefer a “modified stock” look versus a custom look).

I also kinda want to push the tires out some to get them flush (or just slightly more than flush) with the fenders for a more aggressive look, but not too much. As they sit stock, the wheels look slightly sunk into the wheel wells (we’re talking centimeters maybe less). I assume the only way to do this without buying wheels with a different offset than the stock wheels is to buy a wheel spacer.

So I guess I’m looking for information/advice to help answer the following questions:

1. Will I be able to run 35x12.50R18 tires on the stock rims with a 2.5” level without rubbing or modifications? If not, what would be the largest size?
2. Would a wheel spacer make a difference in whether 12.50 would be too wide or not?
3. What size wheel spacer would be the right size to achieve a more flush/aggressive stance weight going overboard?
4. What is the rim width and offset of our stock wheels?

Just posted my experience on this. I did 2” level and fit nitto recon grapplers 325/12.5/18’s and they fit great. No trimming/rubbing. Dealer installed.

Wow they look great! Are you enjoying the recons so far?

Literally just picked the truck up today, but so far they ride great and road noise very minimal. I had toyo r/t’s on my previous truck and they were definitely louder than these.

Did the 2" Level kit eliminate the rake all together?

It’s pretty close. Maybe off an inch at most but tough to tell now, splitting hairs really. Service manager does a lot of these and said the rear shocks will settle a bit. I honestly can’t see any rake now and I’m happy with it. I was dead set on making them out the 2.5 “ on it, but not anymore.

Did you find anything out? I'm curious what the largest tire that can fit on the stock rims would be with a level kit. I'm toying with the idea of aftermarket wheels, but actually like the stock ones.

Been running 35 x 12.50 on stock rims with a 2.5” ProComp level for a couple of months with no issues and I love the look.

Fox 2.0 kit (about 2” lift). Started with 295/70/18 recon grapplers and for the same reasons you mentioned I went aftermarket to get them out just a bit. Went with icon 17” wheels that look pretty close to factory wheels but with more offset (17x8.5 +6) and even with full 35s they still clear with no rubbing or trimming. You could probably run 1.5” spacers and clear 35s or 295s just fine. If you go with a smaller spacer you have to cut down the wheel studs and that just doesn’t seem smart to me 🤷‍♂️

That looks sharp! I'm going to wait to see the truck in person first. I was thinking of some 20x9 with an offset somewhere between +20 and +12 ish, but the stock rims don't look all that bad.

Agree, I really liked the factory wheels but it looked a little skinny to me still. The deciding factory was load range E tires really ruin the ride for me. Going to 17s opened up a couple sizes in range C and the difference is amazing. Either the KO2s in 315/70/17 (OEM RAPTOR) or Toyo AT 3s in 285/75/17 both come in range C. I’m so happy I made the switch over. Something that’s often overlooked and makes a huge difference in ride quality. There’s really no 35s in range c with 18s or 20s FWIW

You mentioned 325/12.5. Typically the 325’s will have a ratio like 325/65/18. Is this the case on yours? Tried zooming in on photo, but can’t read it. Just clarifying as I really like the look you have and hope to pull trigger soon.
