Well this is my first post. I’m a new Ford tremor owner. I had a 21 Lariat 2.7, but I needed to tow an 8000 lb trailer and I was going to just buy any 22 Lariat 3.5 could find with towing. I wandered on the lot and next to the mid trim level Lariat was a 22 Tremor 402A that the sales manager bought but decided to buy a house and had to get it off his debt sheet the day I walked on the lot. I was well aware of the Tremor but thought I’d have to order one, but I didn’t really have the time. It had 9,000 miles and was serviced here at this dealership obviously, so I just decided to pull the trigger immediately. It was in mint condition but he leveled it and put some Black Rhino 20“ inch rims with some Nitto ridge grapplers. I’m over the moon because I just assumed because of my time constraints I wasn’t going to be able to get one. Not only that but my 21 Lariat had everything but blue cruise and I was going to lose all that for the cloth 22 Lariat 3.5. Both were the same price $66,000. So it seemed to me to be a no brainer. I ended up getting a much better equipped truck for the same price. Even better than my loaded 21 Lariat. My only regret is not having the Torsen but in some places I’ve read it’s standard on the 402A. If it’s not can Ford add that at the dealer? Hopefully I can contribute here -long time Porsche guy, I’ve had 7 911s and my current 911 is an 18 GT3.
if I had ordered I would have gone antimatter blue but ended up with black agate metallic

While not standard for 402a, torsen front diff can be added. The cost of the part plus install will exceed the $800 cost of the add on though. I looked into this back when torsen equipped tremors were listed as delayed availability. The torsen diff you want is obviously produxed by torsen but is sold as a ford performance part.

Ford Performance M-4204-F150LS

Pls take a look to verify, its been a while since i looked up this part.

Thank you for your service and Welcome to the forum @Paulgt3 🍻

Congrats on the Tremor! Post up some photos when you get a chance. I'd like to see how those Black Rhinos look!

Thanks. It’s been awhile since I posted pics but let’s see if I have enough posts to post pics
my military experience was 4 years enlisted Air Force then GI bill off to college then as an engineer I worked for the Navy for 30 years. If you’ve seen Maverick Top gun the new one you saw where I worked at China Lake. The first 10 minutes of the movie were filmed at China Lake. I’m really impressed with this truck. In 2012 I bought a BMW X5M and that was a technically advanced vehicle, the most advanced vehicle I’ve ever had. But this Tremor surpasses it in every way except perhaps a little slower in acceleration. But the technology in this truck is amazing

Yea I figured I’d have to add the torsen. But I’m waiting to see what the procedure and costs are

It's no more difficult than changing gears. Should be able to get it done for at or around $1500 (parts & labor) I would think. Or just buy the part and DIY.

Thanks Bannerman. I should be able to do it. Probably on YouTube. I used to think you could learn everything up to brain surgery on YouTube until I saw how to remove a brain tumor on….. YouTube

Apologies for digging up an old post Paulgt3. Curious if you have pulled your travel trailer with the Tremor yet. I am debating between a 402A Tremor and a Lariat with the max tow. Would be pulling a 26” 7500lb travel trailer. Really love the look of the Tremor but more sure if I really should go with the truck with the max tow package.
