2022 Tremor 402A
Current Ride #2
2022 4Runner Offroad Premium
Currently in a 2015 Tacoma 6 speed 4x4 Offroad, with probably $10k of aftermarket parts, basically my dream truck. However in the coming years I will need to do some towing (boat) and we just had our first kid. Also two large dogs which will be around for at least the next five years (hopefully). The ol' Taco is getting tight lately. Being a Toyota guy, the new Tundra obviously has my attention but I am very hesitant to ever buy a first year of anything so if I went that route I would have to wait at least one model year. Ford on the other hand has to pretty much have that Ecoboost dialed by now right? Plus if I am honest, I prefer the look of the Tremor even over the TRD PRO which just looks like a scaled up 3rd Gen Tacoma (which I have never liked). My neighbor owns a Lincoln dealership and said I could order and have it sent to him, so hopefully a decent deal (relatively). I will likely order the High 402A package but still trying to decide. Looking forward to being part of the community!

Oh, can anyone confirm is the 402A is the only trim level that included 4A and is that the Raptor transfer case or something different?

@Yeti

Affirmative, 4A/hi-lock(raptor tcase) is only on 402a. I had to opt out bc that's attached to $7k in extras I couldn't afford/didn't want.

I concur with Captain. You can only get these goodies on the 402A...but where we differ is that I did want them 7k of goodies, and the whole reason I ordered the Tremor was to have a very capable offroad truck with towing capability...otherwise I would have bought the Raptor...but my daughter wants a horse, and I said I would get her one, so I need a truck that can handle horse trailers and hauling hay.

Darn shame you can't choose 4A/hi-lock as an add-on option @brotharon . Raptor or Reins, can't have both haha

Fyi @Bannerman , I'm only offroading/mtb/kid hauling..no towing.

I agree with both. Not sure why they didnt either make it an option at all levels or just make one trim level that has it instead of three where 2/3 dont.

This is my exact thinking as well

Oh you MTB? Only trail I’ve ever ridden in GA is FATS.

The only thing more expensive than a Tremor with all options is a horse for a guys daughter!🤠

I've never been there, but indeed, heavy into MTB for last 2yrs. It's usually Brevard/Pisgah 2x/year and lots of North GA mtn rogue trails for the long DHs when I'm not ripping the local XC trails during the week.

I was intent on a more capable stock truck since my forest road driving has been described as "you're going to fucking kill someone".

Cool man. Well hit me up next time you ride Pisgah, I’m only two hours away. We actually flipped a house in AVL last year. Went up most weekends, would work on the house Saturdays and ride Sundays.

Pisgah is awesome! We go camping up there a good bit. Have not done the mtb up there but have to frequent The Hub on every trip.

Back to your original post, I’ve had chevys, gmcs, Toyotas and fords. It will be ford from now on. You will appreciate the extra room. Especially the back seat area.

That’s what I’m hoping. Didn’t really want to go back to a full-size but I need the space. And Tremor seems capable enough while still fitting in the garage.
