2022 F-150 Tremor 402A Iconic Silver (ordered 01/20/2022)
Current Ride #2
2014 F-150 STX crew cab 4x4
Hi everyone. It was time to replace the F150 STX before I retire. I still have the X-Plan from work, so I thought I would take advantage of it and order up a new truck.
I was originally thinking of a Lariat Sport, but I really liked the extra features of the tremor. My wife strongly suggested I go with the Tremor. She said it looked way cooler than the Lariat. She was right again. So now I guess it is waiting time. I hope it doesn't take too long.

See I'm not the only one to blame my wife 🤣, congrats I have the same truck except for the workstation, although I didn't order mine, just got lucky at the dealer.

Thanks. I really wanted the Leadfoot color, but they discontinued it for 2022. I found a 2021 on the lot with more options than I really wanted. I figured if I could get the color I wanted, and some more options, it would be worth a shot. The dealer would not do x-plan and was asking more than sticker.
Oh well, ordered one instead. You are lucky to have found what you wanted. Enjoy!

Well I just got lucky to be honest, it has more than I wanted but if my wife hadn't seen it in person it would have been a hard sell, I wanted either leadfoot, black or amb myself, but the color has grown on me. She wanted to go look at it when she saw it was coming in and it wasn't there but she bought her a explorer timberline then told our buddy when the tremor hits the lot call us, long story short he did she loved hit and we bought 2 vehicles in 2 weeks.

That leads to the next problem.....run while you can from this forum....you've been warned! This place will cost you more money for things you didn't know you "needed", lol.

LOL! Thanks for the warning.

Truer things have never been stated on this forum. I'm over $5k in "absolute necessities" with no end in sight.... and once the confirmed coilover kits and peoples wheel setups start getting posted more and more... HYUGE wallet rip.

Funny @Cranbery would like that post, he's one of the culprit's who has hooked me into spending a few hundred. 😂

Welcome!
I agree wholeheartedly with your wife on this. The tremor looks way better than the Lariat.
Similarly to you, I was in the market for the Lariat trim before I was distracted by the good looks and capability of the Tremor.
I must say you picked the right color, and the build out looks pretty much like mine. Good taste.
Let us know how it progresses.

Why thank you. I do like the silver, though leadfoot was my first choice. When you factor in the exhaust tone, running boards, torsen diff, wheels and tires, it is deal compared to the Lariat.

Welcome!

I was in the same boat. Ford was really catching my attention over Ram (way overpriced and outdated powertrain imo) and Chevy (interior looks like it's still in 2004), but I hated the non dual exhaust and the softer look of the Lariat.

Enter Tremor... solution to everything. On road, off road, work truck, amenities, great look. Sucks when your wife is always right... except when it's about the Tremor :]

I really like the look of the dual exhaust. That is how all F150's should be. But then the Tremor wouldn't be as special, so never mind.

Agree 100%. I liked the darker colors too. The AMB and the black are beautiful along with the Leadfoot. But Im lazy and the darker colors show so much more dirt and what not. So silver it is!

I totally agree. I loved the antimatter blue. Love how it changes color. But it was just too dark. Had a black car ONCE. Never again. Silver hides the dirt better.

Welcome to the group!

I consider this group to have been a great investment. I hadn't bought a new car in a long time and forgot about the XPlan. Someone on here talked about it and sure enough, it was available for me. Major savings there. I then considered it my obligation to take that $$$ I was going to spend and invest it in more necessities for the truck I still don't have. Lots of excellent ideas and suggestions from people that have already done most the legwork. I saw detailed instructions to add the ambient lighting to the cupholders, recommendations for any add-on you can think of. The only thing left I'm having a hard time finding is patience:)

Good Luck

The wait sucks. I checked my phone today and saw a Email from Ford. I was thinking VIN and build date! Not to be. It was a F150 Lightning Ad. I need to stop looking at my phone!

I ordered mine the day after you. It's going to be tough dealing with the wait. Just hoping my 13 year old car will stop flashing new check engine lights at me before the truck comes in. Fingers crossed!

Really bad news in "Jan 10th Build Week Thread". Several were just bumped out 3 months.

My wife definitely talked to me into pulling the trigger on the Tremor. Now fast forward five months and she feels she’s going to be replaced once my truck eventually comes in lol. Not a day goes by where I don’t check for new YouTube videos, new posts on the forum and the order tracker.

Congrats and welcome. I was reading the "Jan 10th Build Week Thread" and yes, looks like we are in for a wait. Stupid chip shortage. Got me last year too. Ordered a new Mustang for my wife and six weeks turned into 4 months. I think I would be lucky with 4 months this year.
