I purchased a new 2024 Tremor with the 402A package in Avalanche back in November. I noticed these strange lever sensors near the rear leafs. I stumbled on a video of a gal (sarah -n- tuned) doing a walk around and test drive of a 2024 Tremor. She points out these sensors and assumes they are for the headlights leveling. Later in the video she discovers they are for the on board scale/smart hitch feature. My new truck states on the sticker this feature removed. I read somewhere else on this forum that Ford engineers say the feature is not calibrated for the rear suspension of the Tremor? I have the sensors on my truck but there is no option in the truck features tab on the sync screen. I am curious if it could be added later as a software update once they determine a recalibration for the Tremors? Or is there a physical part removed?

Any knowledge on the subject would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum, @Vinman69! 🍻

I’m not entirely sure about the answer to your question, so I’ve moved it to the Towing section. Hopefully, someone in the community can jump in and help!

Thank you. I was thinking about posting it elsewhere in the forum as well. I appreciate you doing that for me!

When I got my truck a few years ago, I thought this would be included, but didn't read the fine print on the tremor part. Back when I looked into it, it seemed like software that isn't activated on the tremor. I haven't seen a way to turn it on in forscan. There may be hardware missing too, but I don't think there is. I think it's just not calibrated, which makes sense for a scale system.

If you surpass the weight limit, I think the truck warns you, which would mean the sensors work to an extent?

Doubt they'd ever turn it on for this trim, just a feature you lose - Raptors don't get blue cruise - not calibrated for the truck.

Thanks for the details and info. I appreciate it!

Found this same question on the F150 forum. One guy says you can activate it with forscan. Not sure that has been confirmed .
