Just picked up my new Tremor last week. It's iconic silver with the V8, Torsen differential, etc. Kudo's to Chip and the crew at Granger Ford. The entire purchase process was handled by phone and one of the easiest I've ever gone through. Highly recommended for anyone planning a purchase. After picking the truck up I made the 2 day/1300 mile trip back to the top of NY. Averaged 18.9 mpg (calculated, though the truck computer said 19.7 mpg) at an average speed of 68 mph. A lot better than I thought I would get after reading some of the other posts.

One thing I noticed. When trucks coming the other direction at high speed go by me, the draft lifts the back of the hood (by the cowl) up a good half inch or so. Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it's because the hood is light weight, but will this eventually lead to either creases in the hood or problems with the hinge? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Better mpg than mine did at first, with 3.5L, settled out after about 1k miles, from ~12 city to ~17.

I've noticed the front of my hood jumping a bit at high speed, but probably about 1/8", 1/4" at most. Have tried to mentally tune it out, but if there's a way to adjust, would love to get zero movement. Seems like I remember somebody on here posting that their latch disengaged (I think on way home from purchase), and hood flew open, which would suck.

I've noticed the hood bouncing up and down on mine too. Especially when we've got the storm winds whipping through and driving at 70mph. I'm sure it can be adjusted a bit but I try to just ignore it for now. I think these 5.0s are going to be fantastic highway trucks. My best MPG so far was going 70+ for a couple hours on the trip home home from the dealer. Averaging about 16.0mpg so far over 1100 miles.

Mine moves as well, but as others have mentioned it's at the front. This can be adjusted by repositioning the hood latch and, if necessary, the little rubber stops (adjusted by screwing them in or out). I haven't adjusted mine on the Tremor yet, but I have successfully eliminated the vibration and movement on other vehicles.

Oh, and congrats on the new truck!

Congrats on the new Tremor @crookedtreedriver 🍻 It was nice to meet you on the ride to Granger and glad to hear you made it home safely! 18.9mpg is really impressive for the entire trip. It will be interesting to see what you get in town/daily driving it.

What's is the payload on you truck with those options?

Not sure. One section of brochure indicates 10,700 lbs with the optional trailer tow package I have while another section indicates 11,300 lbs with the optional package. Not sure what the total payload capacity is.

The total payload capacity is listed on your driver's door sticker. It is specific to each truck.

Congrats @crookedtreedriver. When I saw the Tremor Avalanche color, I just had to have it. Found one and purchased it today. I wont pick up until next week when I off load my Hummer Ev1. Loved the hummer, but just not practical for me. Cant wait to get my hands on it!

Coincidentally snapped these pics over the weekend for my 402A 5.0, w/ torsen, B&O, towing, bed utility pack etc., but without a sunroof, heated wheel and advanced security pack.

1,646 pounds! That's impressive! It sure would be handy if Ford indicated the payload while building your truck online.
